I jut awake to the sound of sirens blaring, I instantly know what's happening. I launch myself out of bed and run into the lounge waking everyone up. I burst into the lounge bolting to the fireplace slamming my fist against a brick to open up a hidden bunker. I rush everyone inside then run into the kitchen to get some food and water. While running out, I notice a faint glow from a dark alleyway across the street. As I turn to look at it the light moves further into the alley. I run into the bunker and put the food down. Grabbing a crossbow and some arrows off the wall, I run back into the house and get all the pets into the bunker. I go to press the brick down again when I hear my mum ask "Where are you going?" "To check something out quickly" I tell her."Don't worry, I'll be safe, I'm 15 now anyway" I tell her so she won't worry then I push the brick again. I go into my room and put some dark clothes on so it will be harder to be seen in the night.
Slowly I open the door and quickly run over to the other side of the road towards the alley with my crossbow in hand. I turn down a side alley and see the source of the light... a beautiful girl looking to be about sixteen holding a little puppy in her arms hiding behind some boxes. As i go to ask if she's ok she raises her hand and points in my direction and screams. I stand confused for a few seconds then I hear the sirens and remember what's happening. I spin around and see a Reaper running towards me. I immediately raise my crossbow and fire an arrow right into it's skull. The Reaper stands on its hind legs releasing a massive roar. I move my finger up pressing a button just above the trigger. The Reaper's head explodes sending blood and bone flying everywhere. I turn and see the girl shaking (from being scared I assume) behind the boxes I slowly approach her with my crossbow lowered so I don't give off the feeling that I'm going to harm her.
"Hey are you alright?" I ask
"Y-y-yeah just a little scared"
"Don't worry I won't hurt you"
"O-ok"
"Hey we need to get to somewhere safe quickly"
"Where can we go though?"
"My family has an underground bunker like most people in this area"
"Oh ok"
"We better hurry, follow me"
"Wait what about my puppy?"
"We have animals so you can bring it"
"Ok, thanks"
"Quick this way" I say as I turn around and start to walk back to the main alleyway, i hear her ask "are you sure it's ok?"
"Yeah it's fine"
"You sure?"
"Yes"
"Ok"
