The next day was... more cleaning.

You helped your mother clean every room and every surface of the house. It served as your exercise.

The house was nicely cleaned by the time it was 3:00 in the afternoon. And now you were on the couch in the living room with your Mom, wolfing down pizza and Coke while watching a zombie movie.

"Oh yeahh..." your mother blurted out, a half-eaten slice of pizza on her hand.

You looked at her whilst munching on your fourth slice of pizza. Her eyes were glued to the TV screen that displayed a scene that zombies were devouring a man's head.

"I forgot that Minkyung said there were nice tablecloths left by the previous owner in the basement." she then turned to look at you with fluttering eyelashes. "Could you be a dear and get them for me?"

You shook your head and started to grab another slice of pizza.

"Y/N," your mother said in a stern voice. "Come on, I am literally bummed out." a sigh of exhaustion escaped her lips.

"Mom, you think I'm not bummed out?" you pouted at her and then took a bite out of the pizza. "Plus, the pizza is too good." you took another bite and wiggled your shoulders at how delicious it was.

She rolls her eyes before tucking loose strands of hair from your ponytail behind your ear. "If you go get the tablecloths..."

You raised your eyebrows to ensure her you were listening.

"we'll have chicken wings for dinner later."

You didn't give it any second thought. A second later you sprang up from the couch and was hopping to the basement, pizza in hand as your mother laughed from the living room.

Chicken wings. Who doesn't love chicken wings?

The basement door flung open with an ear-piercing screech. You ran your hands on the wall beside the door frame to look for a switch. Eventually, you found it and switched it on.

The light was flicking on and off before it stayed on as a blinding white light that made you think Jesus was about to pop out of nowhere. When your eyes got used to the brightness, you gave the basement a once over.

To your surprise, it was neatly arranged. Cardboard boxes and chest boxes were stacked on each other in one area of the place, an old grandfather clock in a corner, a huge wooden shelf and a table with electronic devices and desk organizers.

It wasn't so bad. In fact, it was the cleanest room you've seen so far in the house.

Except for the occasional cobwebs and dust everywhere. But you have grown used to them.

You made your way down the short flight of stairs, hopping like you were a five year old all over again.

After a bit of searching, you found some nice tablecloths wrapped in cellophane in a chest box. You re-stacked the boxes in order again and was about to get out when something caught your eye.

You turned around and laid your eyes on the casette player sitting on top of the table.

Walking over, you place the tablecloths on the table and pick up the player.

It was covered in dust, looked like it hadn't been used in years.

'Of course it hadn't been used in years, nobody lived here for a year before you, dumbass' you rolled your eyes at yourself.

When you were younger, your Dad used to record clips of you saying your first words when you were a baby, and of your conversations with him as a toddler, and when you sang songs with him. Those tapes were in a box you had in your room, under your bed.

Those were a few of the memories you had with your Dad.

Before he started falling for another woman and divorced your Mom, leaving you in her custody.

You smiled faintly as you observed the casette player. As you did so, you accidentally slipped out the tape that was inside.

"Crap." You grabbed it before it fell to the table surface. Sighing in relief when you caught it safely, you read the writing on it.

07/10/2016.

"Huh." your forehead wrinkled at it. "Two years ago."

Your eyes landed on a shoe box on the table. There was a word written on the lid in capitalized letters.

"Kookie." you read out loud, your forehead wrinkling even more. "Did a five year old write this?"

Nevertheless, you opened the lid and saw more cassette tapes. Each with dates on them, and they filled up the entire box.

'Wow, that's a lot.' you felt your stomach turn uncomfortable at just the thought of going through all those tapes one by one.

Sounded tiring.

But you noticed they were in order. Stacked neatly on top of each other, their dates starting from July 7, 2016 and so on.

You then looked at the cassette player.

So...the tape in there was the first tape recorded.

You gently closed the lid of the box, your eyes not leaving the player that sat innocently on the table.

That thing was making you hella curious, in a good way.

"Welp," you picked up the player, twiddling it in your hands before you clicked the button to make it play. "It's not like it's something that will change my life or stuff."

Little did you know it did.

It changed your life, by a huge difference.

You wait for the player to finish loading as you leaned your back comfortably against the dusty swivel chair in the basement. It creaked under your weight but was stable.

Relaxing against the chair, you listened to the static playing first from the player.

Then you hear shuffling.

You closed your eyes, staring at the ceiling as you ait for at least something or someone to start talking.

As if on cue, a smooth angel-like voice started talking.

"Uhh.." there came a chuckle that caught your attention and you flashed your eyes open. You snapped your head to look at the player. "Day 1. Date is... July 10, 2016."

You inched closer to the table where the player sat. The wheels of the chair moved forward smoothly and you stopped, hands on the edge of the table and ears perked up like a dog, eager to listen to that voice again.

You felt your heart skip a beat when he said his next sentence.

"And well..." you hear another airy chuckle and a loud clap "welcome to Jeon Jungkook's Golden Closet."

...

Ayieee... Jungkook finally makes an appearance..
