Their Not So Love Story

Chapter Seven

The Konoha 9 Including team Guy and Sai are invited by the Hokage himself to have a reunion party to be held held at the oh-so-famous and the all-time favorite, Ichiraku's. The store expand its space so more customers can enjoy eating there.

Everyone are surprised by the sudden invitation, but because it is only a once in a lifetime event everyone agreed to meet there at dinner.

Sakura finishes her work early so she can prepare for the dinner later. She went directly to her apartment after her shift and take a shower.

After her shower, she wear her usual clothes and bursh her short pink silky hair and then headed to their meeting place.

Most of the gang are there except from their senseis. Kakashi and Yamato are on a mission and Guy are having his therapy at the hospital and Kurenai is at home taking care of her child, so that explains why they are not around. (A/N: just like in the original story of Naruto Shippuden, Neji also died here, so he is also excluded.)

"Naruto isn't here yet?" Sakura asked taking a seat beside Ino.

"a-ano, he said that h-he will finish his work first quickly" Hinata answers with a blush o her face.

The group talk and reminisce with each other. That is until Naruto come.

"Cha! Naruto how dare you be late when you are the one who invites us? Huh?!" Sakura said angrily.

"Gomen Sakura-chan, I've been piled up with a lot of paper works" he said scratching the back of his head.

"oi Naruto we can now order since you are here, you will be the one paying these!" Choji exclaimed with glee.

"yeah, eat as much as you can" he said and sweat drop.

"Being Hokage must be great!" shouted Kiba.

"nazenara you have much more money now" Shino said, no one notices him by the way.

"hehehe" Naruto nervously laugh. man this will be costly as I expected! And he sweatdrop.

"Naruto-kun, you may seat here." Hinata offer, tapping the space between her and Sakura.

They are seating in a long wood chair.

"Thank you Hinata!" said Naruto beaming.

"So Naruto what is reason of this reunion?" Shikamaru suddenly asked, he knows that Naruto had a hidden agenda.

"Is this about youth?!" Lee suddenly exclaimed.

"You see--"

"Lee be careful you might--" Ten-Ten yelled.

"cho-Chouji calm down" Kiba sweat drop. Trying to calm Chouji.

"My Potato chips" he glared.

And the next thing that happen was a mess. Others giggled remembering the old days.

"ano sa, Sakura-chan, Hinata, can you please move a little" Naruto requested. Both girl moved.

"uhm, a little more?" he added. Then move closer to Hinata.

"Oi Naruto am I a dirt or something? Why did you--" Sakura's heart seemed to stop moving. She look at the man who sat beside her and Naruto. "Sa-Sasuke-kun?!" she was very shocked by the sudden appearance of her first love

Everyone also stop their own business and look at the intruder.

"EHHH!!!" they all screamed in shock.

Everyone can't still believe this, including Sakura. Some are furious and confused. That is before Naruto told them the whole story.

"So what is your plan then?" Shikamaru ask.

"Stay here for good." Sasuke shrugged.

Sakura was still shock. She still can't believe what is happening. Her heart is now beating so fast, specially this close to him.

The group talk and talk and reminisced together. But Sakura stayed silent until they all decided to call it a day and went home.

On her way home, she noticed that Sasuke is behind, so she slowed down her pace until they are now side by side. They walk in silence for a while.

Is he walking me home? For real??! Her inner squealed but stay composed outside.

When they reach her home she stopped but Sasuke is still walking away.

Is what I was thinking is wrong? she thought. of course it is! Why would I think that he would walk me home? I'm just assuming. Maybe this is also the path he'll take on his way home. I heard that Naruto gave him an apartment together with his new team. Yeah it is thinking about this makes her heart ache.

"Sasuke-kun!" she called before he would walk further.

Sasuke stop but didn't turn his head.

She took all her courage to speak up.

"okaeri!" she finally said (welcome home).

"hn" he replied and started to walk away. "tadaima" he whispered just enough for her to hear.

And then she watches as he slowly disappear in the darkness of the night.
