It was the first day of my new school, I was a senior. I wasn't happy about the move but I had no power to change my dads mind. My mother died of a brain tumor and my dad had already moved on to a new wife, that pissed me off.

I put on my pink floyd crop top, my frayed shorts, and a pair of black converse as I kissed my dad goodbye and headed off to the bus stop. Two pretty perky girls walked over to me and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Kayleigh, this is Layla!" I grinned or at least I fake smiled. "I'm Jesse, Jesse Murphy, I'm new here."

They offered to carry my books and on the bus ride to school, they sat next to me. "Will you be going to the senior party tonight?" Layla said, I shrugged. "What's that?" "Oh it's a party for the seniors to celebrate their last year here at Burkley, you should come." Kayleigh said. "Maybe."

We arrived at school and they walked me to my first class. "Meet me at the snack bar, we'll have lunch together." Kayleigh said as her and Layla walked to their class.

At lunch we sat together and I had to sit there while they discussed carbs and fattening, I pretended that I was listening and that I cared. A boy who was cute was staring at me, he looked like a football player, "That's James he's a cutie huh?" I shrugged. "Not my type."

The rest of the day was boring, when I got home I opened the Cheetos and sat on the sofa to watch some Grey's Anatomy. Layla called me to say her and Kayleigh were coming over to help me out with my outfit and makeup and hair. "Super."

It took us a hour to find the perfect outfit, I think it's because they don't really 'dig' my style. I wore a black crop top with a green and white plaid skirt and converse my hair was in a ponytail and I wore a light amount of makeup, I looked good I have to admit.

When we arrived at the party Kayleigh and Layla immediately went for two cute boys and left me standing alone.
