After the first day of school I meet up with Dani and asked her how her day went.

"Oh it was really good, I met this really nice guy and he's so cool and we.." she continued babbling about her day.

I was happy her day went well, but I knew it would. As much as I wanted to listen, I stopped listening to her and just nodded my head clearly not interested in what she was saying. For some reason my thoughts were on that mysterious guy that sat with me at lunch who I still didn't know the name of.

After she finally finished talking -i thought she never was going to stop- she asked "what about you?"

"Oh my day was just fine" I simply answered.

Dani was hungry so we decided to stop at Starbucks on the way home. After she ordered her drink I took out my wallet to pay the barista, who looked odly familiar. He had weird colored hair, I wasn't sure if the color of his hair was pink or faded red but my thoughts were interrupted.

"So are you going to pay or are you going to stare at my hair the whole day?" he spit at me. I hadn't noticed that I had been staring at his hair the whole time, I felt really stupid & so I softly apologized. Apparently his name was Michael, as I had just read it on his name tag.

"Oh hum i'm sorry I just, I-I recognized you from my science class." I stuterred while i pulled out a five dollar bill for Dani's drink. -$5 for a starbucks drink is what too much tbh-

"Oh okay ya. I recognize you." he answered blankly. I was suprised by his answer, why would he recognize me? It's not like I have a million tattoos on my arm or piercings on my ears or even flaming pink hair like his. When I thought about it, I was pretty much ordinary, I had never died my hair before so it remainded this ordinary boring brown color and I only pierced my two ears when I was little and I never even wore earrings & I NEVER thought about getting a tattoo. Never EVER. I wasn't used to this, this was the second time today that a guy recognized me from their class.

I quickly pay him for the drink while Dani goes to get it. As we exit the coffee shop Michael turns around and says "see you around" and waves goodbye.

Shortly after we got home, I started to prepare diner guessing that my mom would be once more working late.

"Sooooooo" Dani says after a few minutes of silence.

I forgot we were at the diner table already eating. My head was in the clouds and for some reason I wasn't thinking straight.

"I met a couple of friends today including this really cool guy. He's a year older than me thought, and I was wondering if he could come over after school tomorrow.." my sister trails off.

"A boy? A year older than you?" I answer shocked. Usually Dani wasn't into boys, especially older ones.

"Yeah he's super nice Lou I swear I'm sure you'll like him!" she pouts to try to make me agree.

"Idk Dani..." I'm not sure about her friend, I mean she's only known him for a day and..

"Pleaseeeeeeeee" she practically begs me.

"Ughh okay fine, but I have to be there to meet him and see if.." but Dani cuts me off "thank you thank you thank you i know you'll like him!" she tells me.

"Mmmh" I nod finishing my food.
