Roman couldn't take it anymore.

Everything was turning out bad in his life and he was starting to feel like he could never get the happy ending he wanted in life.

Was his life some sort of sick joke?

Was he really the hero in his story called his life?

Or was he the villain in other people's stories?

Whatever Roman was, he knew he couldn't take it anymore. He's done with acting like everything's fine when in reality, Roman feels like everything is falling apart around him, being consumed by darkness.

It felt like even his real happiness was disappearing, never to be seen again and that there's no hope left in the world.

Roman knew what he had to do next.

Just find the nearest cliff and jump. Or go there and bring the pills and chug them. Nobody will stop you either way, so why bother telling anyone about it? Roman thought before drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, Roman barely ate breakfast and looked back at his mother with a smile as he said goodbye, his mother not knowing that it would be his final goodbye to her before he left the cruel, uncaring world he was trapped in. She wouldn't miss him, anyways. This was one of the few times she wasn't still out drinking. Even in the morning.

At school, Roman didn't even pay attention to what the teachers were saying. He didn't have to do homework where he would be going after school.

At lunch, he made sure to spend extra time with his group of friends. Which was just three other people, Patton, Logan, and Virgil. Roman wanted his last day with them to be special, so he brought them all cupcakes.

"What's with the cupcakes, Princey? I'm flattered, but I'm not interested." Virgil said teasingly.

"Yeah! It's not any of our birthdays!" Patton said happily, talking a bite out of the cupcake.

"Well, like the old German saying says, "Ich lüge Ich werde auf der Klippe Selbstmord begehen.""Roman replied, hoping none of them know what he's saying. (If anyone knows what he actually said, or at least some of it, you get a cookie.)

"What does that mean? I don't think any of us know German." Patton asked, and Logan was about to speak up until Roman cut him off.

"It means 'friends who are close to you and eat together with every day get cupcakes' now let's just enjoy this time we have together." Roman replied, slowly getting annoyed.

They all ate in silence, with the occasional joke and laughter, but Logan was silent, knowing the real meaning to what Roman said in German. Of course, he was going to tell the other two about it later so the three of them could confront Roman about it, or just go confront Roman about it himself after class.

The rest of the classes flew by for Roman, and he was relieved to hear the final bell. Most people were excited to go home for the weekend, while Roman was happy that he was finally going to end it all.
