"Dear Ms. Lynn Grace, It is with great honor that I write this letter regarding your acceptance to Seoul Performing Arts Academy. I have attached information regarding your scholarship, uniform, and classes. Thank you, Mr. Kim Namjoon .", My heart sank as my mother read the letter aloud.
"I'm not going.", I stated simply as I read the scholarship information.
"You most definitely are young lady! Do you know how hard it is to get into this school!? They just offered you a scholarship, and you're not going?", My mother stared at me quizzically.
"Mom we can't afford for me to go there! All you care about is keeping up the image of your perfect family!".
"You will attend Seoul Performing Arts Academy on a dance scholarship, starting Monday.", My mother was calm as she frowned at me. "You're ungratefulness never ceases to amaze me. Now go to your room and don't let me see you until tomorrow.".
"Fuck!", I whisper shouted as I slammed my door shut. My mother was always so worried about her reputation, and the image of our family. Me going to a prestigious and very costly performing arts school was exactly what she needed to mask our low class lifestyle from the public. My parents couldn't afford to send me to there, even with the generous scholarship they offered; and my father was going to have to dig himself deeper into a pit of debt all for an image.
