Let's Talk Marriage

I called Michael. He picked up. "Hello?"

"Michael it's Raya. I need you to go to my house and grab all my clothes and grab all Parker's clothes and bring them to 24 Springfield Avenue. Don't ask questions just do it."

"Alright. I'll head there now." He hung up the phone. At least now I'll have clothes to wear instead of just Parker's that I brought with me. I sat down on the bed in the spare bedroom. That's where me and Parker were staying. Lix walked in and sat next to me.

"What did you tell Parker when he asked to meet your parents? I know he asked,  he's that nice of a person."

      "He didn't ask." I lied.

"I know your lying. You told him they died didn't you?"

      "Kind of."

       "Are your parents really dead?"

      "I don't know."

"I do. They are alive and they live in Lawrence. They know about all of this."

      "How?"

"I told them. They've known for a while that you came back again and I told them everything that's happened up until the gunman coming to your house. Wait until I tell them that."

      "You can't do that."

      "Why not?"

"When I came back I wasn't allowed to tell anybody. I was given specific instructions not to tell anybody. Parker doesn't even know."

"What does he think you dream about when you wake up screaming and sweating and you look like you have just seen someone die, which you were seeing yourself die.."

"I just tell him that I was having a bad dream."

"You can't do that to him. Now you're marrying him and he doesn't know half the important things about you."

I got up and walked out. I ran to the bathroom because that's the one place no one will bug me. My stomach was hurting. I thought I was going shit myself and throw up at the same time. I didn't know what was happening. I've had anxiety attacks before but this was way worse.I just sat on the toilet and waited for something to happen.

I don't know how long I sat there but the feeling never went away. Eventually, my body started cramping and I had to get up. The boys had yelled in a little while ago and said they were going to the track and to Lix's garage to get the new turbo for Parker's car.

I was all alone. I decided to go lay down in the spare bedroom. It was about midnight so I wasn't nervous to be alone, but there was no one I could call for help. I heard a knock at the door. I knew I was going to have to get up to answer it.

I slowly headed downstairs. I went to the door and opened it. MIchael was there with the clothes I asked him to bring. "Thanks MIchael." I said grumply.

      "What's wrong with you?"

"I've had a stomach ache for the longest time and I did everything to get rid of it."

"Do you want me to take you to the new urgent care around the corner?"

"Sure. Carry me to the car before I drop to my knees in pain."He lifted me up bridal style and put me in the backseat of the car so I could lay down. He drove really fast.

"When did you first get it?"

"Hours ago after having a stressful conversation with Lix."Michael parked the car and helped me out of the backseat and into the urgent care. It was so late at night there was no one there waiting. They took me in the back right away.

Michael waited in the waiting room for me. When I came out he looked a little worried. "Why do you look so worried? They said I was fine right?"

"They said that you are having this problem because you are worried about something and you need to tell someone something important, but you won't. Who is it? What is it?"

"That's a misdiagnosis. I don't have anything to tell anybody. How would they got all that from a 10 minute examination?"

"They have an emotion censor they used it on you and saw how you were feeling then they used the results to connect it to your life. You're a very secretive person."

"Let's just go. I want to go watch a movie and rest a little."

"You're never going to feel better unless you tell them what's worrying you."

"I can't tell them what's bothering me. They wouldn't understand."

"Is it the whole marriage thing?"I didn't answer and just walked myself out to his car and waited by the door for him. He walked out and got in the car. I sat in the passenger's seat. We were silent the whole ride home.

When I got home, I laid in bed and put a movie in. I figured the boys would be out for a while and they would come home drunk. That wouldn't surprise me. For the rest of the night "Twilight" would be my best friend.

I woke up to someone's freezing cold hand brushing up against my back. I assumed it was Parker's. I pulled away from it because it was so cold. "I fixed my car and went to get a few beers with Lix this morning."

"I've been lying here for a while. I had to go to the urgent care around the corner."

      "Why?"

"I have a bad stomach ache and I made Michael take me."

      "You alright?"

"Yea. I just wanna lay here and watch "Twilight" for the rest of the day."

"Ok. I'll go work on some things for the wedding so you don't have to worry about it."He left the room and I just laid there.

A few hours later I got bored. I decided to go to the bathroom and try and poo. I sat there for a good 15 minutes. When I finished I laid on the bed again and listened to some music. Lix brought me some soup and gave me another lecture on the whole parents and Parker thing.

At around midnight I went back to sleep. I never realized how good sleeping felt until now. Well we'll see what happens tomorrow. Maybe I'll tell Parker, maybe I won't, my decision.
