Nathaniel was just a shy boy who loved to draw. He used to like Marinette, but he got over that pretty quickly. Not long after that, he made a discovery. He realized that he was gay. Nathaniel hadn't told anyone about this. He didn't trust anyone enough for that. He was an antisocial, loner kid. No one ever even talked to him, and he was perfectly fine with that. Nathaniel was just a little lonely kid doing his own thing.
Nathaniel was taking a walk around Paris. He liked walking, and he really loved his city. He ended up in the park, and decided to sit down on a bench and people watch. He liked to people watch because he loved to draw people. He would use the people as reference for his drawings tonight (or later)
As Nathaniel was studying the people walking past, someone caught his eye. At the edge of the fountain sat a boy about his age with a guitar. His black hair with dipped-dyed blue tips hung in his face. He wore a light blue hoodie over a white tee with a weird black design. Nathaniel was too far away to see it clearly. This boy's painted black nails stood out as he picked at his guitar. He wore a ring and a few bracelets.
Nathaniel was so intrigued by this mysterious boy. He thought about getting closer. Nathaniel was good at people watching, and even better at being ignored. He was certain he could get quite close and still not be noticed. As he rose to his feet, he spotted someone else walking over to the boy. Someone he knew - Marinette.
"Hey Luka!" Marinette greeted him.
"Hey," he replied lazily.
"Sorry I'm late, I had a hard time getting off work with my parents," Marinette explained.
"No problem," he told her, pulling his guitar over his shoulder and placing it in it's case. "Well, let's get going." He rose to his feet.
"Right!" Marinette smiled.
The two walked off somewhere. Nathaniel was going to follow them, but realized that would be stalking them. Although he was certain he could do it and not be seen, he felt weird about it. Nathaniel stayed in the park, wishing to know more about this mysterious boy. Nathaniel started to sketch him in his little sketchbook. Luka he wrote in the corner of the picture.
The next day at school, Nathaniel went to talk Marinette.
"Hey Marinette? Can I ask you something?" he timidly asked.
"Uh, yeah, sure!" she smiled. "What's up?"
"So I saw you in the park with that boy yesterday. Is he your boyfriend?" Nathaniel asked.
"W-what?" Marinette blushed. "No! No no no!" She shook her head as she spoke.
Nathaniel sighed in relief. "What's his name?"
"Why do you want to know?" Marinette teased. Her smile was a little more mischievous than before.
Nathaniel quickly looked around, making sure no one else could hear him. He sucked in a deep breath to try to calm his nerves.
"I'm gay..." he told his feet.
"Oh my god!" Marinette squealed. She suddenly stopped and looked around. She knew this was not her secret to share.
"I just want to know more about him. For some reason, I can't seem to get him out of my mind," Nathaniel explained.
"Okay!" Marinette exclaimed, recomposing herself. "His name is Luka. He's teaching me how to play guitar. I meet with him at the park every other day. We usually get some food and go to his place. I'll text him and see if you can come with tomorrow."
"No!" Nathaniel began to freak out. "Wait... What are you gonna say?"
A million thoughts swam through his head. What if she told Luka he was gay? What if Luka was straight and wouldn't even give him a chance? What if Luka was homophobic and would hate or even hurt the small redhead? What if--
