Essie POV

With his mouth agape.

I frowned.

Why was he looking at me like that?

Closing his mouth he shook his head a bit, then focused back on me. "Girly come with me, someone wants to see you to ask questions."

"Who?" I said, a bit nervous.

"You will see.."

Walking down the ever turning hallways, that made my head dizzy.
Every turn consisted of a new scenery for me to admire. The spaces we walked past, were... I suppose is considered modern now with cutting edge furniture of whites, grays, some bold colours and wooden highlighted furniture.

It reminded me of offices because it looked posh. Things had changed from the butterfly clips, ladder-racks and sunset lamps.

that's for sure.

I remember when I used to live with my mum. The walls were white, the chairs were iron black and had yellow seat cushion, the lounges were brown and velvety. The kitchen was dark wood and my room consisted of a lava lamp, hello kitty, brats, butterfly clips and blue bed, it was all that my grandparents gave me. They provided me with a childhood and colour. Mum and her boyfriend mostly left me alone not that I minded but when they came home they were drunk and mostly passed out to much to care about me.

The only time I escaped that was when my grandma and grandad went out with me. Especially during school holidays since Mum and that were at work.

They took me to old museums providing me with wonder, curiosity and the eagerness to learn where they came from and what they mean. And walking through the different parts animals, rocks and mummies I found it so cool.

The movies they took me to were laid back, happy, as I laughed at the big screen as I watched Mr Magorium's Wonderful Emporium. The toy Emporium, that came to life due to one mans love and wonder for the small things in life. That's what my Grandad said to me anyway and being the tall, bearded, a little greyed haired and soft blued eyed like me, he was absolutely right, along with my Grandma that held his hand, that stood tall as well with brown greyed hair, sweet green eyes and a loving smile.

I wonder if they were still out there somewhere and I wondered if they were looking for me or they just forgot.

Stopping, I felt another presence and whipping around, I faced with another man who was tall with white hair and green eyes. I gasped slightly at the shock of another being so near.

Army guy realised I had stopped and turned around and yelled "Oi Patrick, don't give her a heart attack" Looking at me he saw that I had paled ever so slightly and he let out a breath.

"Girly this is Patrick, now stay here with him he's safe. I will go in and Patrick will let you in when we are ready, it will only take a little while"

Army man walked into the big oak doors that heavy closed behind him and looking to the man named Patrick he stood looking at me, just like army man did.

I looked away his stare to heavy to bare. Suddenly he chuckled and I looked up at him with a raised eyebrow. He laughed some more and I was so confused "I can't stay serious forever, darl and trust me when I say that I'm not like the others." He said. "Unlike him, I'm all fun, the house gets boring and I've got to do something to spice things up"

"So darl, I'm not supposed to ask you anything because their doing that part.....but do you like fish as pets" He said.

I squinted my eyes, trying to comprehend and then looked back at him, "yeah there, um okay but I do like fighting fish, that's from what I can remember..."
