A Brighter Tomorrow

A minute turns to an hour,

And I think of the memories that I harbour.

The feelings that just won’t quit.

Ahhh, it is haunted like a sunken ship.

What can I do?

What can I say?

The sky is no longer blue,

And I don’t even know why you make me feel this way.

I thought it was over,

A fragment of a forgotten piece of a broken heart.

I thought you,

Was a hidden myth that dwelt deep in the unknown abyss of “never”.

And you, you, ha,

You left me like an unborn baby ripped out of its mother,

Like an arm disembodied from its body,

No life, no love, just a stranger.

A stranger who knows too much.

The stranger who saw too much.

You left me like a bird with no wing,

A singer with a beautiful face but she can’t sing.

An imposter that fosters a dream,

A dream to someday fly, someday sing.

Now you listen mister,

This is going to be your rude awakening,

This bird don’t need no wings,

I got feet and I can walk.

This girl don’t need no voice,

I got hands and I can talk.

And speak I will,

I shall tell GREAT stories,

Prophesise GREAT prophesies.

Heck I’ll turn your world upside down,

You WILL be sorry that you turned my smile to a frown.

Cuz’ baby this chick aint got no wings but she’s going up,

And you hunny, you better change or you will be going down,

Along with all the other fools who thought,

That life,

Was just,

A GAME
