My cousin Reanna and I stepped out of my Mom's car as she dropped us off at the airport. "Thanks for the ride Mom!" I said as I kissed her on the cheek goodbye. "Yea, thanks Aunty! We will see you guys in a few months!" Reanna said as she pulled her suitcase from the trunk. My Mom replied, "No problem girls! Now make sure you have everything and PLEASSE be careful! I love you and I will pick you girls up when you come back home!" Reanna and I nodded and then waved goodbye as my Mom drove off.

I turned to look at Reanna and asked, "Well...are you ready...or not?" She smiled and replied, "Of course I am! Lets do this!" We pulled our handles up on our suitcases and headed inside the airport. We went through security right away and then we sat in some seats waiting for them to announce our flight to start boarding. Suddenly a woman came on the intercom saying that our plane was ready to board so we headed towards the lineup that was starting to form. We pulled out our I.D's, tickets and passports to show the flight attendant when it was our turn. Once that was done we headed down the tunnel towards the plane to find our seats. The plane ride would take about 13 to 13 and a half hours so I had brought a bunch of things to keep my mind occupied. I was planning on sleeping a little bit on the plane since Reanna and I didn't sleep that much before coming to the airport cause we were so excited. We put on our seatbelts and got comfortable for the long trip ahead of us.

(Arriving in Korea)

We were on the final decent into Korea and Reanna and I were wide awake. We didn't get one wink of sleep cause we were STILL too excited plus there was a lot of kids crying and playing around us that we couldn't sleep even if we wanted too. When the plane landed and came to its final stop we got off, grabbed our luggage and flagged a taxi down to take us to our apartment that we were going to be renting for the next few months.

About 20 minutes later the taxi stopped in front of a really nice apartment building. Reanna asked with a bit of shock in her voice, "Are we really living HERE for a few months?" As I looked over to her side of the window to look at the building my eyes grew wide cause it was so beautiful. I replied, "Oh wow! This is so beautiful! I can't wait to see the inside." All of us then got out of the taxi as the driver helped us get our suitcases out of the trunk. Reanna paid him what we owed for the drive and as we bowed to one another we both said, "Kamsamnida Ahjussi" to him as he bowed one last time and headed back to his taxi and drove away.

(Our Apartment)

We then rushed inside the building, which is where we almost ran into our landlady. We ended up paying her the full amount of the money we would owe her for the months we were going to stay there so we wouldn't have to worry about it later. She took us to our apartment which was room number 007. She showed us how to set our passcode on the door and then we entered. She then started giving us the tour of the apartment when we walked in. There were teal painted walls, a decent sized mirror on the main wall, a white couch and coffee table, a white TV stand with a 50' black flat screen on top of it. Right beside the couch was a small kitchen table with 2 black stools for us to sit on while eating. We had walked in to the kitchen, which was also really small but just the right size for Reanna and me since we probably wouldn't be cooking at home very much anyways. Beside the counter was the washer and we also had a metal stand so we could dry our clothes on it. We then looked into the bathroom quickly and then finally headed up the black spiral staircase that went upwards to Reanna and my bedroom. It was an open concept with 2 queen side beds that were side by side one another with a shared side table in between them.

Once we were done the walkthrough we had talked a bit more with the landlady and then she had left. Reanna and I were so happy with the apartment the first thing we did was run back up the spiral staircase and laid on the beds. They were so comfy I probably could of fallen asleep, but I REALLY wanted to go to Lotte Mall and buy some Korean clothes ASAP. So Reanna and I unpacked our suitcases and then headed to the mall. We decided to just walk there cause we found out on Google Maps that it was only a couple blocks away from where we lived, which was the best news I had heard so far that day.
