chapter 1: The birthday

Gabriella's pov
Picking up the gift I went to my best friend Justin's birthday party.
I had known Justin since the age of one,he was the guy next door, we did everything together. He was my bestest friend. Everyone thought we would marry each other but I never felt something for him we had everything clear between us.
I boarded the bus to the venue and reached there in fifteen minutes.
I went towards him,he was dressed in black tuxedo and black shoes,

I could see anger evident in his eyes, I said sheepishly," I know I'm late please forgive me!" He said," it's been seventeen years and you are still stuck on apologising for being late!Anways you look pretty in red gown"

I smirked and said,"I know!"  I handed him his gift I saw a guy approaching us he was dressed in white blazer, dark blue jeans,light purple shirt 

I knew all of Justin's friends though we weren't in same school,he was new! He hugged Justin and wished him happy birthday. Justin said,"Gabriella this is Daniel he is new in school and one of my good friends,and Daniel this is gabriella my oldest and bestest friend!" A guy called Justin and he went there Daniel said,"Justin is really nice, it feels like my old school here" I replied,"yes I know,he is really sweet"
Music started and people started gathering on dance floor. Justin called Daniel and Daniel went towards him and Justin  took him to a corner.
Daniel's pov
Justin took me to a corner and said,"take Gaby to a dance. I make you swear on our friendship!" I was surprised by this proposal or rather shall I say command.  Friendship was my weak point I couldn't let people think that I wasn't capable of friendships.
I went towards Gabriella and said," may I have a pleasure of dance with you?" She said,"pleasure is all mine!" We went towards the dance floor. 'Magenta riddim' was bursting through the speakers, we started dancing, Gabriella grooved to the tunes. I couldn't let my eyes get off her.After five minutes thinking,'thinking out loud started playing I knew Justin made the DJ play it I said,"do you still want to dance?" She said,"I would love to! I know Justin made you dance with me. I was surprised and asked,"how do you know?" She smirked in reply. I said," you dance really good like a professional ballroom dancer! Have you trained?" She smiled,her smile was so beautiful, she said,"no just copy and try to do like them!" We danced for two long hours.
Gabriella's pov
I was lost in Justin's eyes;there was something so mesmerising about him! We played spin the bottle after the dance,after five spins the bottle landed in front of me and Daniel. Daniel smirked and said,I dare you to propose the guy whom you have spend the most time today. I went towards him,I got down on my knee,and said,"love is really a beautiful feeling and I would love to share this feeling with you!" We kept staring at each other for few seconds. Justin started shouting,we came back in reality and saw each each other and smiled.
After an hour game was over and everyone started returning to their houses I sat in Justin's bike,he said,"I  can smell love in the air!" I hastily said,"there is nothing between me and Daniel!" He replied,"I never said something about you and Daniel!" I knew I was trapped in his net and replied,"you concentrate on riding the bike!"
