The sun was shining and it was felt warmer today. But Bellamy was more focused the warmth of Clarke. After their activities the previous night, the young couple laid tangled in a heap of naked limbs and blankets. Bellamy's eyes slowly peeled open when the light from the sun shone onto his face, letting him know morning had arrived. He looked over at Clarke and smiled to himself. She was on her stomach, one arm draped over his stomach, the other tucked under her pillow. One of her legs crossed over his and her forehead almost rested on his shoulder.
Bellamy reached over and brushed her tangled hair from her face. The action caused her to stir and her eyes fluttered open.
"Morning." She smiled sleepily.
"Hey there Princess." Bellamy grinned at her. He rolled onto his side and tucked his arm around her, pulling her closer.
Clarke sighed in content and buried her face into his toned chest. It was moments like this she wished could last forever. She'd never felt more safe than when she was wrapped in his strong arms. He gave her the strength she needed to survive. She also knew that the longer she kept him in bed, the less likely he was to leave camp. Her fingers lightly brushed along his spine, sending shivers down his body. Her bliss didn't last long as Bellamy spoke.
"I gotta go get ready." He mumbled into her hair.
"Why? You went scouting yesterday." Clarke sighed.
"I told you this yesterday. We need supplies. Murphy found a bunker yesterday and I wanna check it out." Bellamy told her.
Clarke rolled away from his body and looked up at his face. She could tell he was dead set about going and no amount of protesting would stop him.
"You don't have to like it. You just have to trust me." Bellamy smiled down at her. He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. Clarke knew he could see the worry in her eyes.
"You know I trust you." Clarke sighed.
A knock on the door sounded and Clarke pulled away from Bellamy completely. She pulled on her underwear and one of Bellamy's shirts that came to mid thigh on her. She flipped her hair out the collar and went to open the door. She opened it to reveal Murphy.
"Excuse me your highness, is Bellamy allowed out?" Murphy teased.
Clarke rolled her eyes and opened the door wider to let Murphy in. Despite their rocky start, Murphy had pulled through when they needed them and had even saved Clarke's life. Bellamy felt like he owed Murphy, so allowed him a second chance. They were now very good friends and even Clarke found herself enjoying his humour.
"You're an idiot." She chuckled.
"I aim to please, your highness." Murphy smiled and bowed to her. Since Bellamy had started calling Clarke 'Princess', his friends had taken to calling her, 'your highness'. Clarke didn't mind though.
Bellamy appeared moments later in just his pants and boots.
"And here's the king himself." Murphy cheered. "You ready?"
"Almost. I'll meet you at the gate." Bellamy chuckled.
Murphy saluted and left them alone. As Clarke shut the door behind him, Bellamy turned to her and grabbed hold of the shirt covering her and pulled her towards him.
"I'm gonna need this back." He smirked as he tugged on it.
"You have another shirt." Clarke teased.
"Yeah well, I want this one." He said as he pressed a kiss to her neck.
"Fine." Clarke smirked. She pulled it over her head and dropped it in his hands. Bellamy's smile turned wolfish as Clarke stood in just her underwear. She winked at him before turning and walking away from him.
