Later in the day, Spinner took me out of school. We drove to Baylee’s house. I was silent the whole car ride because all I could think of was the kiss with him and the one with Gavin. My insides filled with guilt for lying. We pulled up to Baylee and Gabe’s house, it was a great size and perfect to start a family in. I kissed Spinner. He kissed me back. We got out of the car and walked inside. I rang the doorbell. Baylee answered the door.
“Come in.” said Baylee. We walked inside. Baylee’s boxes were scattered all over the house. The house was nice and looked like they just bought it. Gabe walked into the room.
“Great house.” I said.
“What can we do for you?” asked Gabe.
“We came to help you unpack Baylee’s stuff and we need you to sell our apartment. Also help us find a smaller apartment or a ranch.” Explained Spinner.
“Spinner, why don’t you and I talk homes and the girls can unpack.” Said Gabe. They walked into the kitchen. Baylee and I grabbed boxes and took them to the bedroom to unpack. I ripped open a box of her art stuff. Baylee looked over.
“That stuff goes in the basement, we are turning that into my studio.” Said Baylee. I took clothes from her box and put them away. Baylee looked exhausted. I wanted to start a conversation with her just to keep her awake.
“Do your parents know?” I asked. Baylee and her parents don’t have a good relationship.
“My parents think I’m stupid. They said this wouldn’t have happened if I went away to college. They said when the baby gets here they will be more open to helping with like babysitting and buying stuff. I asked them if they wanted to meet Gabe because they never met him. My mom said its better if they don’t meet because my dad’s pissed.” Explained Baylee. I can’t imagine what my parents would do to me if I was pregnant. They’ve pretty much already disowned me for my likes and life goals.
“I’m so sorry.” I said.
“We will be ok, don’t worry.” Said Baylee as we finished putting away everything with the exception of the studio stuff. We headed into the kitchen to sit with our men. I wondered how Spinner was doing with negotiation on moving.
“How are things in here?” asked Baylee.
“Rose, we are moving in two days to a nice ranch.” Said Spinner. I smiled.
“Spinner, can we talk?” I asked. Gabe and Baylee exited the room.
“What’s wrong? Are you not happy?” asked Spinner concerned.
“I’m so happy, but in three months we will be moving to New York. What’s the point in buying something new only to sell it again?” I said.
“Your right. I have an even better idea. Gabe!” exclaimed Spinner. Gabe came back in the room.
“Can you find us the cheapest place you can in New York or maybe even Boston?” Asked Spinner.
“Sure, I’ve got buddies who can pull strings on short notice.” Said Gabe as he pulled out more fliers and opened his laptop.
“We need it ASAP.” Said Spinner. Baylee walked back in the room and smirked. It got quiet, all of us were looking at fliers and online listings.
“Got you one, you move in a week.” Said Gabe.
“Awesome, where is it?” I asked.
“It’s outside of Boston in the town of Worchester.” Said Gabe. I had never heard of the town, but was excited for a new beginning with Spinner.
“Can’t wait.” Said Spinner and I. We kissed.
