"Happiness hit her like a train on a track, coming towards her, stuck still no turning back." Florence + the Machine.

Daya

"Don't worry, I got you..." I heard Jake tell me.

"Oh my... Hurry! Put her here!" I heard the shock in Natasha's voice.

"Brucie, I need your help over here!" I then heard Tony yell.

"I pray to the All-Father that she will make it..." Thor trailed in prayer.

"Do we have anything for the giant shackles?!" Tony questioned sternly in the background.

"Where's... Dear lord." Steve gasped.

"Is Daya alright?" I heard Clint ask with worry and sadness laced in his voice. Then he was quiet for a minute or two. "Those damn bastards!"

"Easy Clint!" Natasha yelled at him.

"There's only so much we can do... We have to get her back to the tower..." I heard Bruce say solemnly.

"Hang in there, kid." I heard Tony clearer as if he leaned closer to speak into my ear.

"I won't let anything happen to you ever again."

Then it was quiet for a while...

"She's conscious but she can't respond!" A new woman I have never heard before with an accent exclaimed over me.

"Miss Daya, can you hear me?" Another woman with the same accent asked, but she had sounded more authoritative.

I felt my lips move but nothing came out.

"She can hear us! She's responsive." She sounded relieved, but not for her own sake.

"She's lost a lot of blood... We may need a transfusion..." Another stated.

"Captain Roger's is the only one who matches her blood type the closest..."

Steve?

"I'll do it." He stated.

It wasn't long until I felt a needle poke into my arm. But it became quiet after that...

"We are going to start the procedure... Put her under."

~Day 1~

My eyes suddenly fluttered open.

It was dark.

It was never dark in my cell.

But I am no longer in my cell.

It was a pair of dark sunglasses darkening my vision as I glanced around at the all white room. I suddenly realized the mask over my mouth. My breath was steadily fogging the plastic before disappearing again. I could no longer feel the cold metal snug against my neck as well, the feeling replaced with... nothing... just air.

I focused some more and looked down at my thin body hidden under the pristine white sheets. My right arm was slung in a cast while my left was frail and limp at my side with an IV and padded wire hooked up to it. Directly across from me, on the white wall, was a flat screen playing Lilo and Stitch but it was on mute. Probably Jake's idea.
