It is just the first day of High School and Madeline is getting ready to get started on the day. "Bye mom, love you!" She walked to the door, closed it shut and suddenly- "BOO!" It was her best friend, Avery. They have been friends since elementary school and their parents are close to each other too. "Who the heck, oh.. Good morning." Madeline walked passed Avery like nothing happened. "Haha, did i scare ya? Hm.. Someone is grumpy today.. Let's share eh?" Avery looped her arms around Madeline's and tilted her head. "Look Avery," She un-looped her arm, stopped in the middle of the pathway and stared at Avery. "I dont wanna make it any worse, but i think u should be quiet before i burst out." Madeline turned and walked away. She's feeling nervous and didnt want to make it look like she is, just because Avery is going to get her crazy soon enough. "Oh well, i know u are nervous. Just chill and the day will pass. Okay? Come on smile!" Madeline had no choice but to fake a smile.

It was Madeline and Avery's first day at Riverdale High School. They dont want things to get messed up or they mess things up. The bell rang and their class has started. Their form teacher Mr Jeremy appoint them new seating arrangements. When it comes to appointing new seats, Madeline always have a bad feeling she will end up sitting with someone who will drive her insane. Well, that was her past few years. But this time, it's different... "Madeline, you will be sitting beside.. Hm.. Let's see." Mr Jeremy said as he look across the classroom to choose a seat for her. "Ah! There, right beside Nicholas will do. Now please, make your way." Nicholas? No way.. Madeline thought. Nicholas is class most handsome and the guy every girl would ask for.

Madeline's pov
Nicholas eh? He is just a classmate dont think so much. I walked towards the seat beside Nicholas. I can feel all the pairs of jealousy eyes are staring at me, like it will haunt me till night. I pulled the chair beside Nicholas and sat down. Taking out books to get ready for the next class. "Hi, im Nicholas. Nice to meet you Madeline. Hope we could be great sitting partners for the rest of the year!" He sound so polite.. I blushed slightly and replied back, "Eh hi, im Madeline. Hope that we could cope well together for the rest of the year!" He smiled at me and nodded. I smiled back and turned to my textbooks staring at it like im already dead from seeing the words on it's cover. What is wrong with me?
