It's JANUARY. My last chapter was in June. I'm sorry. I don't have an excuse. But the story's over now so that's good right? Right.

For the following days Keith was kept under intense surveillance by the team, especially Pidge. It wasn't quite necessary as Lance was practically glued to Keith's side the whole time. Surprisingly, the rest of the team didn't mind Lance in such close proximity, yet the others would keep their distance, once again, especially Pidge. Keith awoke one morning after sleeping next to Lance to a multitude of plastic wires and needles embedded deep into both forearms, all connected to Pidge's beast of a laptop, her glasses reflecting the data table on her screen. He hardly noticed at first, but still screamed just as loud when he saw them.

"Oh, good morning," Pidge mumbled, not taking her eyes off the screen.

"What are you doing?" Keith said, distressed.

"Just running some tests, don't get your mullet in a twist," Pidge answered sharply, looking over only to glare at him from behind her glasses. "And I'm only doing this because Lance asked me to, so you should be mad at him, not me," Pidge stated while leaning in closer to her laptop, her fingers clicking away at the small letters. "There. Done. Now you two can go make out in a closet somewhere or something without the risk of Lance dying. Or becoming a zombie," Pidge stated after giving him an injection filled with who knows what into the rotted flesh of his arm.

"So you mean im not contageous anymore?" Keith pleaded hopefully, and pidge gave a simple nod. Something in her eyes looked almost like a smile to Keith. Almost. "Thank you," Keith said, and meant it. He was always worried about accidentaly infecting one of the other team members.

"We dont have any of the equipment here to make anything close to a cure, but maybe in the future we could go and try to find a pharmacy or something similar. Oh, or even better, a science lab! Schools are pretty good too, as most of the chemicals wont have very secure locks o0n them, but then again they wont have very many, and then we also have to factor in the distace we can travel in one day and..." As Pidge continued to ramble about all of science findings, Kieth found it very hard to keep his eyes open and swiftly drifted off into a deep slumber. His final thoughs before unconsciousness washed over him was, Pidge is going to be so mad when she sees me asle-

Keith woke up the next morning on the couch in the living room, with Lance cuddling into his arms. His cerulean eyes were openly staring at Keith, trailing over his nice arms, to his mangled elbow, to his slowly rising and falling chest, to his open gray eyes. Keith was wearing an amused smirk over his tired face, and lance reeled back while tripping over apologies in his mouth. Keith only chuckled and pulled lance back into their cuddling position.

Huh. I guess she wasn't too mad.

"What are you thinking about all dreamy like that?" Lance mumbled from his sleepy state.

"Oh. Um, Pidge gave me a weird shot so I guess I'm not contagious anymore." Keith said quietly while turning his rotten arm around to look at it.

"That's cool, man," Lance mumbled as he started to drift off. There was a pause. "Wait what?" You re not contagious? That's so cool man! Don't just brush that off!" Lance shouted while trying hard to tickle Keith and failing. Lance was laughing so hard he almost fell off the couch. "I'm so happy for you," Lance breathed out through his laughter. "Just, so, so happy." Lance repeated. Lance flopped off the couch and lay down on his back, his hand holding Keith's and cradling it on his chest.

"But... you're still dying." Lance said, almost inaudible. His eyes were wet, and Keith uses the hand Lance wasn't holding to wipe his tears away.

"I think I'll be okay," Keith said, joining Lance on the floor. He lay down next to Lance and squeezed his hand tight. "I have you, after all." Keith concluded. Lance looked up into Keith's eyes, an ocean meeting a violet sunset.

Lance felt choked up, his breath caught in his throat. But he managed to choke out a single sentence. "I love you." Lance said, eyes wide like he was just realizing his feelings.

"Me too," Keith replied coolly, his expression fond. When Lance looked at him, he felt as if he was the only one in the world. Keith made him feel special and unique. Lance gazed into Keith's violet orbs, feeling entranced. Lance's gaze towards keith, full of admiration and childlike wonder, made Keith's heart skip a beat.

Keith was new to this. He had thought his life was over, when the zombies had broken out, but he had been saved; his life expanding infinitely in front of his own eyes as thousands of new possibilities shook him. Keith never thought that he would end up with anyone to love, and had never dreamed of someone loving him back. But now, Lance was right in front of Keith, accepting his love and giving Keith so much of his own.

Keith couldn't be happier. He let Lance wrap his arms around him and snuggle into his chest. Keith had never felt more content. There was nowhere Keith would rather be.

Thank. Thank you. For anyone who had stuck by this book, eagerly awaiting each update, I want to sincerely apologize. I have been one of the authors I HATE reading from; people who never update but claim it will be there soon! No. I have been terrible to you guys and I have no excuse. Here's the finished book. Have fun. (If anyone wants to make a sequel or continue this book, by all means please do. I don't care what you do with this.)
