Broken Walls

Part 3 - The Note

Alyssa's Pov

I'm woke up to the sound of steps coming to my room, I remember that I asked Aiden to come home after the note I found. I guess I fell asleep after I started to cry.

My door slowly starts to open and Aiden walks in coming towards my bed, I sit up and find the note. I wipe my damp cheeks from where the tears have fell and look into his eyes, he looks so worried.

"What happens" his voice comes out low with mixed emotions.

"M-mum she... uh" I didn't know how to respond so I just gave him the note.

I swear this is all my fault maybe if I didn't get involved this morning she would've been fine, but no I had to try and stop that god damn monster I've called dad for years.

Aiden starts reading the note, guessing as soon as he started he was already shocked and was definitely going to feel sad. I reach out and put my hand on his knee for comfort, I see his eyes being threatened with unshed tears.

All I know is that Aiden hides his emotions and doesn't cry infront of anyone, he only shows them to me because we've been through the past and we promised to always be honest with eachother.

Once he's finished reading it he looks up to me and a tear falls. I just apologise repeatedly that I made him come home just for this. He pulls me into a hug and we stay there until I pull away.

"It's late and we have school tomorrow, get some sleep and I'm sorry" I say

"It's not your fault" he gets up heads towards the door "Goodnight" he says before he walks out.

Hi there, I know this is a short chapter but I hadn't updated in a while I guess. Just wanted to get another chapter out while I think of more chapter ideas, sorry I know this story is really crap but I am trying and this is my first book. Also I have no idea how these titles relate to the chapter 😂
