Chapter 6 1/2

Turned to be a really awkward night with my mom. She just kept wanting to talk about Prom. It made me extremely frustrated that she couldn't just accept the damn fact that I wasn't going. Moms are supposed to support their child's decision no matter what the decision was. So why wasn't my mom doing that.

And while I lied down later in bed, after chores were done, I realized that it was okay if she was upset about the whole Prom situation. Because I understood that she wanted me to get a nice, good looking guy, and go shopping for Prom dresses. I understood that she wanted to get both of our nails done before Prom and she wanted to take pictures and do my hair and makeup and tell me not to get nervous about it. I understood her side of it, and I just wish she saw my side as well.

It wasn't just because I didn't have a Prom date, I had explained to you the reasons before. My mom though it was because of that reason though, and she was always telling me tips on boys. Which just made the whole situation worse.

And in the end I couldn't come up with a solution, like always. And just decided to let sleep take control of my body.

That morning I woke up too late so I had to skip breakfast, and I didn't get to straighten my hair either, so it was another not so hipster messy bun day. And I decided on making this a simple rest of the day, so I decided on jeans and a plain white shirt.

And I was just on time to get into the car and drive to high school. This time I needed Janie at the front of the stairs, leading up to the doors of hell.

"How'd your date go?" I decided to just skip through all of the bull shit and jump straight to the question that has been bugging me all morning.

Janie shrugged and we both started walking up the stairs. "It was okay, I guess. He's kind of weird." She stated.

I nodded in agreement. "How so?" I asked her. I knew I sounded desperate and it was obvious I was interested in all of it.

"Well first of all, he wanted to do something fun. So he got out one of those ouji board things and started trying to talk to ghosts with me. I shook my head no, because I really didn't want to do it. So he said that it was fine and that we could talk instead. So I agreed that we should talk. And, get this Emerald, he talked about you." She raised an eyebrow, probably looking for an explanation.

"Me?" I was utterly stunned, but quite pleased that he wanted to talk about me. "That's weird."

"I know. And it was really random questions too. Like, if you ever had a pet that ran away. Or if you had ever been to another country." We had arrived at our lockers and I ushered for her to continue while I got my books out.

"And I didn't know the answer to the most questions he asked. And when he realized this, he kind of just called the whole date off." She exclaimed.

We were now both standing standing in front of our 1st period classes. "I'll see you later Janie. And I'm sorry about your date." I really was sorry about it, no matter how 'jealous' I was about the date, I still felt bad that that would happen to my best friend.

"S'okay I guess." she shrugged. "Wasn't your fault anyway. I just wish his personality would match his appearance."

I nodded and walked into my first class and slumped in the back seat. Niall didn't show up when the bell rang, Niall didn't show up when the teacher called row, Niall didn't even show up when the bell rang to dismiss us. I wasn't too worried about it though, because many of the classmates didn't show up. But it's Niall, and anything and everything he does is suspicious.

So yes I haven't updated in months...

But I've been busy...

Last month my little twin sisters were born and school started and I just omg.

I finally went to my One Direction concert though. It was amazing.

I split this chapter in half cuz I wanted to jut update real quick so that You guys knew I didn't just disappear off the face of the Earth.
