It has been three months since me and my best friend moved to Cali. It’s been smooth sailing, but lately, we haven’t been getting along. We both decided to go to the beach to get some fresh air. We ended up arguing, and since we share a car, she left me at the beach by myself. There was no way I was going back home. The fight would just get worse. It’s about sunset now and people are starting to leave. I decide to sit in the sand by some dunes. I start thinking if I should start walking, but then I feel a hand on my shoulder. This boy was the most attractive guy I have ever seen. He was tall, tan, and muscular. His hair stuck up perfectly after a long day in the water, and his wet suit complimented him very well. He asked me if I was okay. I lied and said “Yea, I’m fine.” He told me “No you’re not.” Well. He saw right though me. He stuck out his hand towards me and said “I’m Cameron.” While pulling me up. “I’m Shelby.” I responded. He asked me to walk with him and I agreed. We started talking about our likes and dislikes and what we find attractive. He fit into everything I liked and I think he knew it because I kept blushing. He could tell something was still wrong so he asked me again, “are you okay?” This time I responded no. “No. I’m not actually. Me and my best friend got into a big fight and she left me here with none of my stuff. I don’t know if I should go back home because it might makes things worse.” He apologized about my situation and out of nowhere he said “Well, you can come home with me then.” “Oh no. I can’t do that.” “No Shelby it’s okay. I promise. I want to help.” It wasn’t long before we were close to his apartment. We got to his front door and when I walked in, it was a modern day scene and there were four other guys there. One was Nash, whose name reminded me of mashed potatoes. Yosh, who was practically their dad and recorded their daily life, Bryant who was their photographer, and then there was Carter, who was like a mini Justin Bieber. It was weird walking in with me being the only girl in the apartment now. He introduced me to all the guys and then he lead me up to his bedroom upstairs. “Go get in the shower.” Cameron said. “Cameron, I have no other clothes with me.” He put his hands on my shoulders and shook me a bit. “Shelby it’s okay. Stop worrying. You can wear one of my shirts with some boxers.” I just agreed and shrugged because I knew I wasn’t getting out of this anytime soon. I walk into his bathroom, and got in the shower. I wasn’t expecting there to be any girl soap, but I do remember him telling me his sister Sierra just visited. I made sure I didn’t smell like salt water anymore and climbed out of the shower. I walked out of the steamy bathroom and into Cameron’s room to find a plain white t-shirt and red plaid boxers on the end of the bed. I slipped on his shirt, which smelled really good by the way, and put on the boxers. They were a little big on me, so I rolled them to make them fit. I looked around a little and I crept my way downstairs. I overheard Cameron talking to who I think is Nash. “She’s beautiful Nash. She doesn’t even have to try. I want to get to know her. Maybe she’s the one you’re always telling me about.” Nash replied “Maybe she is dude. I’ll see you in the morning.” Yosh, Bryant, and Carter had already gone to bed. I hear Nash coming up the stairs, so I hurry back into Cameron’s room so he wouldn’t know I was listening. Once I hear Nash’s door shut, I walk out onto the balcony of the stairs. “Well there you are.” Cameron said. “Come here.” He demands. He was sitting on the love seat so I sit down on the opposite cushion of him. “Feel better?” he asked. “Yes, very. Thank you.” “No problem beautiful.” What did he just say? “Excuse me?” I ask. “You’re beautiful.” Cameron smiled at me. I was shocked at those words so I just looked away and covered my mouth so he wouldn’t see my blushing cheeks and my cheesy smile. We started watching Friends, one of my favorite shows. I could hear him chuckle every now and then. I looked over at him and admired his beautiful smile. I had a long day and I guess I had fallen asleep. I must have knocked out for a good twenty minutes and I didn’t realize I had moved myself onto Cameron’s lap. “Shelby. Hey babe, wake up. Friends is over.” I moaned in disagreement and he said “Oh, you want to be difficult?” Then he started to tickle my ribs and picked me up bridal style. “You’re not heavy at all princess.” I hear him say in my half sleep. He then placed me on his bed when we got upstairs and covered me up. I thought he would sleep down on the couch, but then I felt his weight on the left side of the bed. I was laying with my back towards him. It had to of been a couple minutes until I felt his hand on my stomach. His touch woke me up immediately, but I stayed quiet. He pulled me across the bed and I felt my back against his toned chest. After that I fell back asleep.
I woke up the next morning around 11AM. When I opened my eyes, I saw his pecks and looked up at his face. “I never thought you would wake up gorgeous.” I heard him say in a raspy voice. God it was amazing hearing that first thing in the morning. “Good morning.” I say in a whisper. I closed my eyes once again and buried my face in his chest. He moved the hair out of my eyes and kissed my forehead. “No no. You have to wake up or we will waste the day away” he said. I argued “No, I don’t want to get up.” He didn’t fight me. And before I fell back into a deep sleep I heard him say, “Fine. We can stay here and cuddle.”
