This is it! I was currently driving myself and my old husky, Dakota, down to Chicago! I was having a lot of mixed emotions about the job. If I don't get it, at least I'll still get to live at home. On the other hand, if I do, it would be my dream.

I arrived at my hotel room and unpacked for the upcoming week that I would be in Chicago. I had two interviews in the beginning of the week, but I wanted to get a feel for the city a bit in case I did get the job. I decided to go to bed a little early.

The next day I woke up at 10:30. My interview was at 12. I took a shower, straightened my hair, and put on the most professional clothes looking I owned. I headed down to the office where I was told to meet at and waited in the lobby area a bit before being called back by a deep voiced older man.

"Kennedy?"

"Hi! Hi. Um, that's me."

I'll also save you the boringness of the interview, there's really nothing much to tell except that the guy smelled like hot dogs. Which obviously made me pretty hungry, so I treated myself to some lunch. After lunch I went back to my room and watched some TV. Pretty uneventful. I had a day in between interviews so I decided to go have some fun. I checked out the town and did some sightseeing, if that's what you want to call it. Fast forward to my interview. This time it was a scary looking older lady. A lot of weird questions. But whatever.

The rest of the week was a little boring. I took my dog to a dog park. Did some house hunting. I ate lunch. Boring. The one fun part of the trip was when I went out to the bar one night.

The guy sitting next to me was a little creepy. He smelled like aftershave and grease.

"Hey pretty lady," he slurred.

"Hi," I said begrudgingly.

"Is your name as pretty as your face?"

"I'm Kennedy."

"Well, John Kennedy, why don't we go back to my place," he said, in a drunken stupor.

"Um, no thanks," I inched away.

"Is this guy bothering you?" A tall, cute, blonde haired guy said.

"A little, but I was just leaving."

I got up and went home. So yeah. Highlight of my trip. Luckily, I only had to wait awhile until I heard back from the office again.

"Dad! Dad! I got the job!"

"I'm so proud honey! Soon I'll be buying your pictures and hangin' em all over the house."

I giggled. "I gotta go pack Dad, see ya soon." I hung up.

I couldn't wait for my new job.
