I had finally arrived in Chicago! The apartment I had been looking at from my last visit was only two streets from the UC, so that would come in handy. It had a loft and two bathrooms with an amazing kitchen. I couldn't wait for the season to start!
I already had a lot of appointments set up for the job, meeting the staff, checking equipment, getting tours, blah blah blah. But the one I was the most excited about was getting to meet the players! Now I'm no puck bunny, but I sure do know an attractive guy when I meet 'em. My favorite player on the team was probably Andrew Shaw. He's just too cute.
Just then, my ringtone interrupted my day dreaming.
"KENNEDY!" Screamed Adrienne.
"What?!"
"I miss you already. When ya comin' back?"
"I just got here!" I laughed.
"I know I know. It's just so boring here in Wisconsin- there's no one to go boy hunting with now that you have a hockey player fetish."
"I do not! I haven't even met any of them yet!"
"Yet?! You mean you're gonna?! Be sure to put in a good word with Patrick Kane for me."
"Oh please Ades, he's a total player."
"What about Jonathan Toews?"
"Uh uh honey, he's got a girlfriend."
"Damn it. Well I don't care about Toews. Get me Kane and we're even since you left me."
"I make no promises."
After my conversation with Adrienne I started unpacking my new apartment. This is surreal!
Tomorrow I got to meet the staff and players. Hopefully I can make a good impression....
