"Oh hush, we'll be fine," he assured with a sly look on his face.

I curled my fingers in frustration and panic as his words swallowed me.

"I'm serious Jungkook, you need to get out of here. Both of us will be slaughtered if we're seen together," I hissed back.

The dimly lit storage room of the large building hid him and I from the possible consequences outside. Its cold atmosphere made me more uncomfortable than I was before.

"We're enemies, what part of that makes you think–"

"너를 은화가 어디에요?"
'Where are you, Eunhwa?'

My breath hitched as I heard my name being called. Almost instinctively, I flicked off the light as if we weren't there. Within my chest my heart kept thumping, and I was almost convinced Jungkook could hear it.

Footsteps and voices grew louder as my parents neared our hiding spot.

"Eunhwa?" they called out again.

'They can't find us or I'll be dead. Especially in a dark room for crying out loud,' I thought to myself.

Suddenly, arms snaked around my waist and pulled me into a sturdy figure. I inhaled sharply, causing a hand to cover my mouth. "Be quiet," he whispered gently.

Trapped in his unbreakable grasp, I didn't bother to fight against it.

Plus, it would just cause more trouble.

He slithered into a corner hidden from the main sight of the door. As soon as he dropped his hand from my mouth, the door swung open and light poured in.

Like a choir being conducted, we immediately stopped breathing on cue. Frozen with fear, neither of us moved a muscle.

Pfft, not like I have any.

And that thought was a huge mistake.

"Eunhwa!?"

I broke open from my nightmare and flung myself straight up. I sat there panting on my bed, using my arms as support.

"Are you alright?"

Looking up, I saw my mother staring at me with worry.

"," I responded, diverting my gaze. 'Yeah.' "It was just a bad dream."

She sighed. "Well, go get ready for school. We're already running a bit late," mom said softly.

"알아서," I answered and climbed off my bed. 'Alright.'

For some reason, I was still stressed about last night during school. Multiple times people came up and asked me if I was okay, and I just responded with a nod. It's not even that big of a deal, just forget about.

While at my locker, preparing to go home, I found a small note lying at the bottom. Curious, I picked it up and read:

"Meet me in the cafeteria at 4:00.
It's important."

I cocked my head to side wondering who it was from, until I read the name at the bottom.

—Jeon Jungkook

A small gasp escaped my lips.
"No, I won't meet with you," I muttered. I crumpled the neon sticky note and tossed it back into my locker.

"Well that's quite harsh," a new voice said.

"I-I..." I stuttered, staring at the tall brunette in front of me.

He looked down at me and raised an eyebrow. I swallowed in fear, afraid that he might snap me in half.

However, his expression softened and he smiled. "Meet me in the cafeteria at 4:00."

Watching him walk away may, or may not be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. On multiple occasions girl would run up to him, and he'd flinch or run out of their way. If they continued to follow him, he broke into a brisk walk with his head down.

Covering my mouth with my hand, I tilted my head upwards and tried not to burst into laughter. For the "tough" guy he is on the outside, he's really such a small child.

Sitting at an empty table, I spotted Jungkook when I entered the cafeteria. As if I forgot what happened minutes ago, my squinted eyes shot darts of hatred at him.

I slid onto the bench across from him and continued to hold my glare. His eyes were still locked on his phone. They darted from side to side while his fingers vigorously tapped the screen. Slowly, my patience wore out.

I slammed my hand down on the table out of annoyance. He looked straight up at me after fumbling with his phone. "Yah! I came here because you said you wanted to talk, and here I am! So talk!" I proceeded to rant with a raised voice. "You're really unprofessional."

"And you're really damn loud," Jungkook retorted glancing past my shoulder.

I turned to see a few people staring at us, then quickly divert their attention to start whispering. "Plus," He started again, making me direct my attention back to him. He pointed at his phone with a disappointed expression. "I died because of you."

I snorted. "Like I care."
"Why did you want to talk to me?"

THIRD PERSON POV

Jungkook adjusted himself and used his arm to prop up his head. "Well, as you know, our parents aren't on the greatest-"

Surprisingly and unexpectedly, Eunhwa threw herself up from the table, forcing him to stop his sentence. Typically she was quiet and reserved when dealing with frustration. "I don't want to hear it! Don't drag our parents into any conversation we have! You won't be able to convince me about anything!" she shouted.

"But you didn't even let me finish—"
"All you care about is putting your family on top!"
"That has nothing to do with what I was going to say—"
"Shut up!"

The small girl stormed towards the exit of the cafeteria while her short hair and plaid skirt fluttered behind her.

"They're like an old married couple," someone said at a nearby table.

Eunhwa whipped around to look at them, fuming with frustration. "We're not a couple!"

Meanwhile, Jungkook sat back trying to contain his laughter. He repeatedly stomped the ground with his foot while covering his mouth. His classmate looked over in his direction and scowled. Then she quickly rushed out into the halls.

'What an idiot, thinking he could toy with me,' she thought to herself. 'I know how business works, and he can't use me to somehow benefit his parents.' She smirked.

Nice try, Jeon.
