Heroes At Heart

Jax's POV:

"...I will..."

We all turned our attention to the voice who volunteered. Let me tell you something... I was not expecting him to volunteer...

"Ahh... So the one called "Toby" will be the first one to the battle pit, yes?" Sparrow asked.

Toby walked past us and stood on a bench. His expression was blank, but we all knew he was showing his courage.

"Yeah Sparrow ma'am, I wouldn't care if you sent an army of midget dinosaurs at me. All I care is to help my friends, you're also a friend. That's why I'm helping you remember who you are, by fighting," Toby said, standing on his ground.

We all looked up to him, like some kind of god. Sure, maybe he's not the best fitted guy for this position but, he's a warrior at heart. Sparrow sighed and nodded at Enderlox. He float down to one of the bar cages in the battle arena.

"Fine... Inferno, call Seto and tell him to bring the weapons. If you please," Sparrow commanded.

Inferno Bajan nodded and float down to the entrance. An idea popped up inside my devious jokes. I grabbed Quentin and Ty, whispering in their ears my plan. We all nodded and stood up on the benches.

Inferno was about to unlock the entrance way for Seto until we piped up.

"He's opening the INFART!" We shouted. (Any bros out there that get the joke? :3)

Everyone in our group laughed their heads off. I looked up and saw the three opposite friends hold in their laughter. I made eye contact with Sparrow and almost laughed at her expression. Her eyes wide with shock and her mouth making a tiny "o". Her hand covering her mouth, so Inferno won't see it.

I took a quick glance at Inferno, to see his expression. Bad idea... His expression was mixed with anger, hatred and numerous more. His hands were shaped into fists, with smoke coming out of them. His normal eye, turned into rose red and the fire trailing behind him grew larger within seconds.

A fireball grew in his hands as his aggression desire grew. He threw the fireball with great speed, heading towards us.

"Get down!" I shouted and went under the bench. I saw Ty and Quentin climbing under the benches just in time.

The fireball hit the wall and exploded. All of us covered our heads, for incoming bricks from the wall. Nothing. We all looked and saw a burnt mark plastered on the wall.

"Inferno!" Sparrow yelled. "One more act like that and you'll be facing my little pets in the cage!"

She pointed a cross from her way, a small cage chained to the ground.

"Oh no..." I told myself. It was those monsters, they used their chaotic laughter to fill in the room. They rocked their cage to be free and go towards their master.

"Those things are f**king creepy as h*ll man..." Skybrine said under his breath.

"...Yes malady..." Inferno said, he turned back his attention to Seto and the locked entrance. He soon unlocked the giant bar door and let Seto in.

Seto was pushing a cart filled with weapons and magic. He stopped in front of Toby and snapped his fingers. The chains on Toby's arm unlocked to let him free for his fight.

"You may choose two weapons Toby," Sparrow announced. "However, not of the same weapon."

Toby's eye pondered about on the cart, trying to choose wisely. His eyes laid on a particular weapon, a diamond sword. He picked it up and examined it.
