MELANIE'S POV

I got inside the school building and went immediately towards my class. I usually go pick up Joy and we would go to school together but her first class was canceled today, lucky for her.

So here am I, walking up the stairs to my classroom. My classroom is near the teacher's lounge so I always pass a lot of teachers and have to greet them. What I didn't expect to see is Samantha. She was sitting on a bench beside the teacher's lounge. We looked at each other but her eyes were fierce and full of something that I couldn't quite place at the time. Right now I think that it was evil.

I put my thoughts aside and smiled at her and then left to enter my classroom.

---------------------------

After that class, I went out of the room and to the toilet.

On my way out of the toilets, I noticed a lot of teachers go into the conference room.

I guess they are going to talk about the school party next week.

I greeted a few teachers that I didn't already greet in the morning. As I was on my way towards the stairs, I saw Samantha behind the wall, she hid quickly when she noticed me looking at her. I stared at her or rather at the wall that she hid behind for a few solid minutes, asking myself, what the fuck is this creep doing, before going down the stairs towards the school's main hall to go meet Joy, who was probably waiting for me.

---------------------------

For my second class, I had with Miss Havis, English, I have with Samantha too unfortunately.

Throughout the whole class, she had a creepy smile on her face, as if she had something evil planned.

I got a bit scared and curious as to what she is thinking about and why was she following me around.

I decided to do a small experiment to end this once and for all.

At the end of the class, I stayed behind for a bit but not for very long and left the room when most of the students were gone.

I walked extra fast and turned behind a wall and waited for a bit behind it. I then looked behind the wall to the direction of the room. And surprisingly Samantha wasn't anywhere in front of me or near me.

I let out a sigh of relief. But I still had a bad feeling. She has something in mind but what?

I went downstairs to go meet with Joy, who I might've again been late to.

"Oh, here you are!", Joy exclaimed, "what took you so long?", she let out a small laugh.

"Ok, so, I might've discovered something, well, I just found out something strange", I told her.

"Oh, and what's that?", I told her how Samantha has been following me around the whole day and how she had that strange look on her face.

"Hmm..."

"Hmm?"

"I don't think that she was following you", she said emphasizing the 'you'.

"What do you think then?", I asked her, confused.

"I think that she's following Miss Havis", I kept quiet and she continued, "You said that you saw her two times beside the teacher's room and that she didn't follow you after class that means that she stayed with Miss Havis", Joy voiced her thoughts to me.

"That might actually be true! Oh my God! I have an idea!", I said excitedly, "Let's go follow her and check what she's doing!"

"Do you know where she is right now?", Joy asked me.

"If she's following Miss Havis, then she must be near the teacher's room! Come on, let's go!", I said and we walked quickly towards the room.

When we neared the room, I was held back by Joy. She shushed me and pointed at a person, at Samantha.

She was behind that same wall where I saw her earlier that morning. We walked slowly towards her.

She was holding her phone up as if she was taking a photo and was staring intensely at the room's door.

We kept walking closer to her until that we could see what's on her phone and indeed, she was on the camera app. I looked at Joy and the look on her face was the same as mine.

Joy nudged me and pointed at herself then at Samantha. I nodded at her, agreeing.

Joy went to Samantha and said loudly, "Hey!"

Samantha jumped and quickly closed her phone, "H-Hey", she coughed trying to hide her stuttering.

"How are you? You had with Miss Havis, English, with Melanie right?", Joy began the conversation aka the Plan, "What did you learn about this time?"

I looked at Samantha the whole time and noticed her rolling her eyes when Miss Havis was mentioned. I immediately raised an eyebrow and smirked at her reaction, it was so obvious but we had to get some evidence to support our theory.

"We only reviewed everything we had in this year again since it's the end of the year", she said uninterestedly.

"Oh, only you didn't play any games or anything?", Joy added, looking at me for confirmation, I shook my head, "No, we didn't play any games which is weird 'cause Miss Havis is always open for playing in class", I looked down.

"Why didn't she then allow you to play?", Joy asked and I sighed, "I wish I knew. Miss Havis is being weird lately", suddenly Samantha looked very interested in our conversation.

"How weird?", Joy asked after she saw Samantha's change in look.

"She has been very short-tempered recently and shouting at everyone for no huge reason. She never shouted at anyone before.", I sighed after saying that. I saw Samantha nodding slightly, with a smile on her face.

Joy and I looked at each other, confused. "Oh, really? What do you think is the reason for this huge and sudden change?", Joy said and turned her head to look at Samantha intensely, making her think that the question is for her. "Um... I really don't know, I really don't. She's just depressed I guess. She's sad. She should really just put all of this aside and just teach us properly without all of her weirdness and shouting, it gets really annoying. Dumbass", Samantha whispered the last word to herself but it wasn't quiet enough because both Joy and I were shocked of it.

So, she doesn't like Miss Havis... why is she following her then?, I sighed quietly, unless it wasn't Miss Havis herself, but someone she's close to and Samantha has an interest in them!.

"Do you think that Mrs. Persch is the reason why Miss Havis is sad? I mean I haven't seen them together in ages", I said and Samantha's expression changed from annoyed to calm to a mix of both. "I think that it's good that they aren't seeing each other anymore. Miss Havis has been toxic to Mrs. Persch, she isn't good for her. I am much better than that bitch.", she smiled at her comment to herself.

The bell then rang on time. I then quickly ask for Samantha's phone number and Facebook, she gave them to me and then we said goodbye.

As we left her, Joy and I looked at each other and said at the same time, "What the fuck?"
