I am not completely sure when I could think, but I soon became aware of the fact that there was something I was missing out on. Something I wanted to be a part of. However, despite my many wishes, I didn't even know if I had a name.
As the years went by, I begun to learn of myself. I could sense different auras around me. One in particular always seemed to be there. There were also so many things around me that became almost overwhelming to me: a small hand holding me with care, a strong and powerful energy, the warmth of the sun, a feeling of desire and power, the distant sound of voices; I felt I was drowning and none could hear my cries. I would try to reach out to them, but all I could hear were the sound of voices yelling and a flood negative emotions. Why would there be so much hate and confusion when I have done nothing? At one point, I was sealed into a container where it was dark, yet peaceful. It was also a little cold, but not too freezing. After what felt like forever, more continued to happen. A man who I've felt before (greed, anger, lust, power, envy were his thoughts) took me away to another place I had not been before. Betrayal, sadness, sorrow, loss, guilt, sacrifice, madness; all of these emotions surrounding me yet I could not do anything about it. As time went by in this place, I learned the name of the man I was with: Sosuke Aizen. A soul reaper who planned to use my power to destroy an entire culture and become its king. Why was I going to be used to hurt others when I didn't want to? Was that all I was good for? Maybe I was....
No. I was capable of so much more. More than destruction. More than death. For I could distort as well as give another more strength. I could heal others in pain.
I was Hogyoku.
