The Stars Are Closer

Dark



I shot up in the bed and looked frantically around and to feel a hand on my shoulder which made me jump and yelp. " hey hey hey" someone whispered. My vision cleared and I saw that it was Alex and Jase. " My God" I said and hugged them both and they returned it. "You guys would never believe what happened" I said " Same here" Jase replied. " What happened" I said.

" Well while you were knocked out you slipped into a mini coma for like 9 days. We looked into your blood and you wouldn't believe what we found" Jase explained. Alex bent down and came back up holding something in a glass jar " A star" Alex says smiling. " It's amazing how it was stable for anyone to hold. I mean a normal star would either freeze you or blaze you. T'challa says that he would tell us what you are when you woke up but you seem stressed. What happened?" Alex asked. " I saw my mother" they both looked at each other. All of a sudden the air became thick and they're faces became straight, serious but hurt and sad. " we saw ours too" they both say.

Jase's  dream

I was surrounded by grass. A field that led to no where. A river that seemed endless. I bent down and drank the water and noticed the latter was a bubble in my hands. I quickly let go and saw the water fall. I looked in the reflection and saw that I was no longer alone. " hello son" I slowly turned beside me to see my father standing tall with a long beard and a stick holding him up. " dad?" I say standing up touching his face  making sure he was real " Dad" I hugged him. I heard him chuckle in my ear and rub my back with one hand. " Where is mom" I asked " Ahh she became a goddess of the sky.

I became the God of water. Like you" he says. " What" I said confused. " ahh son, I never wanted you to find out this way, me dead and you thinking it is all a dream. Your the new God of the sea take the triton. Your also the gods of the sky like your mother. You have the air and water at your command and I expect you do your best to protect your home. And if you decide different, please spare the ones you love-"

" wait wait wait wait, you really think I am the God of water and sky" I say smiling almost laughing " Oh now I'm dreaming" I say looking into the sun as he was doing. He turned to me and said " and yet you live on a planet with a weapon x program for the gifted children. You live in a world where there is an organization working with super hero's and you don't believe what I am telling you?" I turn to him and say " if your a God how did you die?" He chuckled and says " the same way Odin did. It was my time". " You were only 45 dad! How!! You never did drugs, you never stressed about anything!! H-how" I say with a tear streaming down my face.

" My son. If it was my choice it would still be on earth teaching you everything I knew. But your on your own with only the stars to guide you" he says looking into the sun again. " But the stars are so-so far and so are you" I say. " A star is much closer than you think. My son. Heed every word I say. Your a God and you will stop this darkness from consuming your world. You will and I refuse to let you fail. Now go back and tell them. Show them who you are Jase God of the sea and sky"

" And with that I woke up to Alex shaking me" Jase finished. We all looked at Alex and she took a sharp breath in.

Alex's dream

I was surrounded by ruins and sand. A destroyed castle with only stairs that lead to the top of nothing. " My sister" I turned around to see my sister. Amusa. " Amusa?" I immediately lunged at her and hugged her. " I miss you" I say " I know my baby sister. But you need to stop worrying about the past. I know you know" she says holding my hands touching my palms with her thumbs. " sister. What is it" I say looking at my palms seeing them glow Orange and green. " music and nature" she answered.
She looked past me and saw the ruined castle and smiled. " Baby sis. This is where I always played. We had a huge castle and at the time I was the only child. I remember it like it was yesterday." She started to him a song and move her hands in circular motions.

I'm not loving you the way I wanted to.
And what I had to do, I had to run from you.

"It's beautiful" I said in awe. " But how did you do that?" At that pointed she stopped humming and the scene went back into ruins. " You can do it to, the power of music and nature can do so much you don't know. I'm sorry our parents never told you. But you must take what I say to heart. Our planet will be corrupted by darkness. A darkness you must be ready for. Use your music, your nature, your talent and make the darkness think twice before even thinking about stepping foot on our earth." She says.
" How will I know I am ready?" I said looking at her " When you beat the darkness and become a God like us. It is prophecy. That I'd why I am no longer with you" she stated smiling at me. She took off her orange crystal necklace that also had a green tent to it and put it in the palm of my hand. " Keep it. You will need it" she says and winks.

I pulled her into a hug and whispered in her hear " Thank you sis" she chuckled and whispered back " Your very welcome sista"

" And I woke up. And..."  she opened her palm and the Orange necklace was revealed. " Something is coming. And it's coming fast" she held out her hand "lets become a team" she says smiling and her eyes turned orange and green. Jase smiled and slapped his hand on top of her with his eyes ching blue. I smiled and I could tell my eyes turned another color too because they were like " Oh wow" but we all got a shock of electricity and it hit us hard. Seeing nothing but darkness
