My anxiety increasing as the door creaked open. I knew who it was, but I just couldn't stop shaking.
Doctor:"Miss, are you her daughter?" He said as he walked over to me.
You:"Yes, I am sir..." You were still shaking so the doctor tried to calm you down a bit."Can I go see her?"
Doctor:"Yes you can, but after you look at this,"he handed me a clipboard "She is alive but her heartbeat is unstable, so don't rush in and hug her or something of that nature."
You:"Thank you so much!"
You slowly open the door in fear of the state your mother is in right now. You see her laying on the bed calm from what it looks like. So you slowly walk to the chair next to her bed and tightly grab her hand.
You:"Eomma, please, please don't leave...everything will be okay."Just then the doctor came in.
Doctor:"I'm very sorry but could you step out please."I tightened the grip in my mother's hand and looked at the doctor, he had a worried look in his face. So I let go of my mother's hand and stepped out of the room. A few minutes later I looked up to see a bunch of nurses running into my mother's room. Without thinking I quickly grabbed one of their wrists and asked,
You:"What's going on?" The nurse looked at me worriedly.
Nurse:"I'm sorry but I have to go." My grip in her wrist tightened,
You:" Please tell me! I'm her daughter!"
Nurse:"Her heart stopped! I'm sorry but I have to go!" I tried running in after her but one of the other uses stopped me.
Nurse:" I'm sorry but you can't go in there while they are operating in a patient." I was screaming and crying trying to get out of his grip.
You:" No! Eomma!! Let me go!!" He kept holding me. Soon I fell asleep crying.
2 hours later
I woke up when I heard the door open. The doctor came out...
Doctor:"I'm so, so, sorry..." I burst into tears because I knew what he was going to say. He finished his sentence as he was coming towards me to comfort me.
Doctor:"We couldn't save her." That's when I ran out of the hospital running as far as my feet would take me. When I looked up I realized that I was on the side if a bridge. Then I hear footsteps...in my direction.
