Floyd Decker was walking down the hallway on his last day before winter break, they weren't doing much in class, they were simply paying games and talking.
Floyd didn't want it to be break because he had to spend it at a cabin with his family and Leon Wright, the weird kid.
He took a deep breath and slid down a wall so that he was sitting on the floor, he had approximately three minutes untill someone wondered why he was taking so long in the bathroom.
Just as Floyd was standing up and walking back into class he ran right into Leon. Great he thought. Leon had dropped a bunch of books and bent down to pick them up.
Floyd sighed and then started picking the books up off the floor too. He handed Leon his books back and their hands touched accidentally.
Leon turned red muttering a thank you and walking off stumbling over his feet while doing so. Floyd let out a breathy laugh at Leon then went back to class.
He ran his fingertips through his blonde hair and pushed his glasses up then walked through the door, "Mr. Decker, care to tell us what took so long?" Floyd shrugged and sat down in his seat while the teacher waved him off and went back to reading and the other kids went back to doing their own thing.

School went on like this basically all day and when it ended Floyd basically jumped out of his chair and ran out of the building. It was snowing outside and like usual, he didn't have a jacket or sweater so he was stuck wearing his black button up vest and white button up dress shirt. (which was the school uniform.)
He walked home, the snowflakes tickling his red face. He kicked at the ground which was slowly collecting snow in their small town called Sagewood.
He made it to his house and opened the door to be greeted by his mom and dad standing in the mudroom with luggage.
Right, we're leaving today. His parents passed him a few bags and they carried everything out to the car.
He jumped into the back seat and sighed looking out the window dreading the next two weeks. Leon's parents were going to some business thing and Floyd's parents just had to be their friends.
Talk about crappy luck?
They started driving down the road towards Leon's house and Floyd sat in the car as they helped him with bags then he climbed into the back seat with him.
His brown hair was dusted with snow and his cheeks were rosy from the cold, he was wearing a blue hat and black scarf along with a jacket.
He turned his head towards Floyd and gave him a smile and he did the same to him. Floyd looked out the window as his dad started driving.
It was going to be a long two weeks, who doesn't love spending time with their childhood friend that stabbed them in the back?
