Everyone Is Equal

Chapter 1

     Hello I'm Tiana and I am a supporter of the LGBTQ community. I am working on updating my website where you can meet other people in the community and talk to others like you. I hate knowing that people can't except us and my parents didn't except me either being Bisexual. They weren't as mad at me then as when my brother came out as gay and I felt really bad for him. Anyway let's get onto the story!

     I shuffle through my notes one last time before taking a deep breath and setting them down "Are you ready?" My brother asks me and I nod "Good, we need to get out there. Come on." He says grabbing my wrist and dragging me out. Once we stepped out we could hear spcheering already "Hello!" I call out waving getting everyone to calm down "Hello, my name is Tiana and this is my brother Daniel." I say and Daniel says Hi and waves "We are so happy to have you here, today taking up an hour to be here and listening to us." I continue "Yes we are so happy and today we are talking about the LGBTQ community, some of you might already know about it." Daniel goes on to say "This is one of the most awesome community's to be apart of, everyone is super nice and support of each other. Now I know some of you might be thinking, but I am strait and I can't be apart of the communtiy. That's what some people think and you can still be support of the community and be apart of it. So today we are going to take some of your questions and hopefully clear up some confusion that you guys may have of the people or community." I finish up "So raise your hand if you have a question and we will gladly answer." My brother finishes his lines we see a bunch of people raise there hands so I jump off the stage and go to a woman in front of me "Aren't all the gay, bisexual and lesbians disobeying God?" The lady asks into my microphone "Not exactly if you have the right bible, see some bibles have trouble translating and translate the verse wrong, the verse is Man should not sleep with boy as he sleeps with woman." I finish and the woman nods so I go over to the top row to a teenager boy "How do I get into the community?" He asks "good question my sister has been working on a website where you can support, talk to people in the community and like you. the website will be provided at the end of the panel on a desk right outside the door." My brother says as I walk to find another person. 

     The questions and me and my brother taking turns to answer goes on until closer to the panel where I go back to the stage "Now, if I didn't answer your question today, just go into the pamphlet and my email will be in there to answer any questions." I say "Mine will be in there too, just sayin." My brother butts in which earns a few laughs from the crowd. We wave goodbye and step back onto backstage "You were awesome!" My brother says cheering me on "You were better." I say to which he rolls his eyes "Hey!" Someone says which I turn to see Daniels boyfriend Xzavier "you guys were amazing! We totally have more supporters after that and someone filmed the whole thing and posted it on YouTube! We have so much support, yes we have a few hate but that's just people being people." He says so excited and rolling his eyes at the end sentence Daniel kisses his cheek "You helped too." He says ruffling up his hair I laugh a bit then go off to get outside to stretch "H-Hey!" Someone says to which I turn to see my friend Rachel "Hey Rach!" I says happily to see her "You were great out there!" She says "I thought you wouldn't be able to come." I say "I thought so too, until I find myself here." She says back "Wait, isn't it your birthday soon?" She says cutting me off before I can say something "Yeah, it's tomorrow, why?" I say as she shakes her head "You're going to be 16!" She says happily bouncing around, I have been friends with Rach since first grade and she used to be a shy blob back then. I guess I made her this way "calm down." I say rolling my eyes at her behavior "Well look at where you are, you've done so much and you're only 15 going on 16!" She says and that made me think about it, I've been pushing myself so much "You. me sleep over at my house." She demands "Wow, since when were you the dominant one in the relationship." I say jokingly I see a glimpse of something in her eyes but I couldn't quiet catch it but my guess is it's nothing good "Whatever come on." She says dragging me so I text my brother

I close my phone knowing his response I chuckle and shake my head "What's so funny?" Rach asks as I remember she is dragging me to her car. I wait until I get in then her to tell her "my brother." I simply say and she gets what I mean and laughs a bit herself as she drives off I turn on the radio to hear a new panic at the disco song come on, High Hopes. Which I sing along happily to along the way
