I tear through the streets, running for my life... again. A sharp pain shoots through my chest, but the pounding sound of footsteps keeps me going. I leap onto a poor merchant's cart and then again to the rooftop above. A slight whistling enters my ears. I duck just in time. The arrow hits a nearby chimney with a thud and I keep running. A bubble of laughter rises in my chest. I love the thrill of the chase, even more than the hunters.

Of course, if they catch me, I'm dead. But that's not important.

'Cause they haven't caught me yet.

A boy with the same violent red hair as my own leaps down with a grin. I try to hide my sigh of relief. I've always feared my partner in crime would fet lost or hurt, though I knew he hadn't.

We can leave now that he is here. We grasp hands and I breathe deeply. Suddenly, we are engulfed in sparks. Together, we leap off the building.

        Then, as one, we fly.
