“OMG Skylar did you hear the news?! You’re not going to like this at all though” My best friend Arianna said mumbling the last part as she came running up to me.
“What do you mean I’m not going to like this at all?” I said raising an eyebrow at her and crossing my arms. She stood there fiddling with her fingers trying to figure out how to say it.
“Just say it already!!” I shout throwing my hands up in the air, already losing my patience. Yeah I’m not one for being patient.
“Okay, okay “She said preparing herself for what she’s about to say.
“We’ll u-um u-hh, how do I put this… u-mm” She said stuttering and fiddling with her hands again. As you should know by now, she fiddles with her hands when she’s nervous.
“Hurry up before I lose my patience again!” I scream out frustrated about to pull my hair out.
“Okay! You’re BRETT FUCKING MORRISON’S NEW FREAKING TARGET!!” She blurted out, very loudly I may add, but that’s not what I’m focusing on right now. What I should be focusing on and I repeat what Arianna just said, IM BRETT FUCKING MORRISON’S NEW FREAKING TARGET! OMG what am I going to do?!
“Hey Skylar? Skylar!! Snap out of it!" Arianna said shaking my shoulders back and forth.
“I can’t be his new target! Why me?! Out of all people in this school it had to be me didn’t it?!” I asked to particularly no-one.
“Sky, just calm down” Arianna said trying to calm me down and comfort me.
“I can’t calm down! He’s going to ruin my last year in high school because of this stupid game he has planned!”
I said walking up and down the hallway. I should let you know who exactly Brett Morrison is. Brett Morrison is one of the, how do you say, a player. Every month or however long it takes he makes a girl his ‘new target’. It’s where he chooses an innocent girl, meaning a girl who hasn’t lost her V-card and he goes through these 4 steps.
1. He asks you out on a date
2. He makes you fall for him
3. He makes you feel like the only girl in the world
4. He takes your V-card and on the same night he leaves you all alone when you’re asleep.
So this is why my life is now ruined. I now have to promise myself that I won’t fall for Brett’s tricks.
“So Ari, how many people know about this?” I say trying to make my voice sound calm and composed.
“Well, um everyone?” She says trying to make it sound like no big FUCKING deal, and this is the part where I now lose it.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN EVERYONE?!” I say losing it even more.
“Sky just calm down, don’t attract attention” she shout/whispered to me. I let out a big breath of air and tried to calm myself down once again.
“Okay so what do I do?”
“The only thing you can do for now is avoid him” she said not believing that I could avoid him , and she’s right.
“How can I do that if he’s in like all of my classes?” I say losing all hope in that plan. Just as she was about to say something else the stupid ass bell rang. Sometimes I just hate that thing and sometimes I love it.
Oh well isn’t this just great, I have no idea how to avoid this asshole when I have most of my classes with him. This.Is.Just.Great.
“Sorry Sky I would help you if I could but I have to get to class.” She said with all honesty. I let out a sigh feeling all helpless.
