The S.E.P

JACK'S POV

Me and Gabriel were on the military for five more years. We became two of the best soldiers on there, slowly climbing up the ranks, until we became two of the most recognized men. Medal after medal, we were unstoppable, but that wasn't the only thing that grew. Ever since the mission on the Arctic, Me and Gabriel's relationship became stronger. Sure, that mission was boring, nothing happened, except for the fact that I slept on the same bed with Gabe, but you know what I mean. Ever since then, we grew closer, inseparable. My feelings for him grew stronger to. This wasn't a silly crush anymore, I had fallen head over heels in love. The fact that Gabriel was super clingy didn't help either. He would want me to cuddle with him while we watched movies, he would sometimes pass to my bed when it was cold
while I was "sleeping". God, I even saw him naked once. I honestly didn't know how I managed to survive without confessing to him.

One day, me and Gabe were called to the General's office. He was the one in charge there, everyone was absolutely terrified when he stepped foot on a room, so you could assume me and Gabriel almost had a heart attack when he called us. As we walked there I was absolutely nervous. I started to go through my memories, trying to remember what the heck we did wrong. Gabriel must have noticed I was terrified, since he suddenly grabbed my hand. Once he did this, my heart started beating rapidly. I looked up to his face, he gave me a nervous smile. He was obviously trying calm me down. That gesture really made me relax, he always knew how to make me feel better. We arrived at the General's office. The two of us were terrified, neither wanted to do anything. After a few seconds of silence, Gabriel knocked at the door. "Come in!" A loud voice said from the other side. Gabriel opened the door, letting me go in first. The General looked at us from his chair, he was a bulky man, a little short, with no hair on his head and a beard. For some reason he was really intimidating. "Reyes, Morrison, please sit down" said the general. We quickly did as we were told while he looked at us with a serious face. I decided to break the uncomfortable silence, after a big gulp I decided to speak. "D-did we do something wrong s-sir" I said trying to hide my nervousness. The General suddenly smiled, but still remained serious, "as a matter of fact, no Morrison, quite the opposite actually" he said. Me and Gabriel let a silent sigh scape through our mouths in unison, "Gentlemen, I'm going to go straight to the point" the General started to say. "You two have been chosen, along with other soldiers, to be a part of a new government project, The Soldier Enhancement Program" he said. A spark of curiosity and interest went through my mind, apparently the General saw this as his smile grew wider . "It seems I've sparked your interest. The government wants our best soldiers to take part in this program, there they will do some experiments on you, trying to enhance your abilities, make you stronger, faster, etc" he explained. I was so excited, this was a way of becoming better than I already was. I looked up at Gabe, he seemed to have the same excitement as I did. The General decided to speak, "So gentlemen, are you in? We slowly turbines to him, with bright smiles on our faces. "Yes"

The day came where me and Gabriel had to say goodbye to our old base and entered the S.E.P program. I was excited, barely able to keep still. There were approximately other 30 soldiers enlisted in the program, including me and Gabriel. In the plane I was unable to sleep, we had to wake up at 4:00 am but I wasn't tired, excitement had taken over my body. Gabriel on the other hand was the opposite, he hated waking up early, so he decided to sleep. We were sitting next to each other, with Gabe's head on my lap. He was sleeping peacefully, which made me blush a little. The entire trip there I was looking out the window. We took a long time to arrive at our destination, Jarvis island. The government decided to build the base there since it was completely uninhabited. When the island was visible from the plane I tried to wake Gabe up giving him little pasta on the head. "Gabe! Look!" I said as he woke up. "Morrison, stop acting like a child, what is it" he responded, rubbing his eyes. We both looked out the window, Even though he tried to hide it, he was also excited. "Not bad" sat Gabriel. The plane started approaching the ground. As soon as it landed I was static, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen.
