After about half a year, the sequel to Akatsuki is finally here! Thank you for all the votes, comments and reads. Thank you for waiting patiently for my updates. Thank you, basically, for keeping me from giving up completely on writing, which I've been considering due to some recent events.
In my last Author's Note in the final chapter of Akatsuki Part I, I asked you why I gave my story this title. Well, 'akatsuki' means 'dawn' or 'daybreak' in Japanese. But 'aka tsuki' (two different words) mean something else. 'Aka' can mean 'red', while 'tsuki' can mean 'moon'. I'm no expert on the Japanese language, but I guess that can mean 'red moon'? Anyway, I found that interesting and it inspired me to create a reader with a red crescent shaped mark around her eye. I chose the title 'Akatsuki' as a reference to both that crescent mark and the reader's transition into a happier life, a sort of 'dawn' or 'daybreak' for her.
