A/N : Ohhh hey there haha, i uh have like n0 excuse for not writing but i edited the last couple chapters and I'm gonna get back into finishing this book because I remember being obsessed with the plot line of it :))
I'll give a little summary :)

Cora and Lydia are twin sisters with an older brother- Caleb. Caleb gained an addiction to drugs and gambling and his life fell off the wagon. He got into trouble with owing money and ended up going to jail for murder. He was released and contacted his sister. He recently admitted that he may have gotten Cora into some trouble. Before he went to jail someone kidnapped and raped Lydia leaving her pregnant, she had a miscarriage from stress. They copied took pictures of Caleb's police files and Lydia's medical exam was stolen. the girls believe that Jake, Cora's crush, May be responsible. Tyler, Cora's best friend, went to a coffee shop and is trying to track down the barista.
Ok here we go lol

——-

Lydia went back to the school straight faced. Blank. Broken.

Cora could never find out what Caleb just told her. If she knew then she would never help him. But it was her right? It was her life? Lydia's mind blurred.

Her vision straightened on her beautiful red head best friend. "You do not look good girl." She stated.

"Wow, thanks" Lydia's smile slightly tugged.

"You wanna get coffee after school and talk about it?" Candice asked almost concerned.

"You would know what it's about." She rolled her eyes in remembrance.

"You're not seriously still mad at me?" Candice scoffed.

"If i was sleeping with your deviant brother behind your back, you'd still be pissed too." She glared.

"I loved him." She stated before leaving the hallway.

Lydia's mind blurred all over again with even more frustration. She slammed her locker and began to head to class before running into some blonde girl.

She stopped in her walk and stared for a moment. "Sorry" She fully said and picked up her book for her.

"I'm Katherine." She smiled. "Sorry I'm really clumsy I didn't see-"

Lydia stopped her "It was my bad, no worries." She said leaving the hallway uncharacteristically.

Tyler sat at his locker playing on his phone. There was nothing he hated more than his stupid life skills class. He took for an easy A and free period.

He closed his locker with a sigh.

There she was. The barista.

She was so engrossed in her book as she walked down the empty hallway. She didn't even have to look up for him to see her.

How had he never seen her before? She had to be new. This was his moment. He took a sharp breath in before approaching her.

"Is that a good book?" He asked hoping it wasn't a stupid question

She laughed "it was." He then realized he was interrupting her reading

"Shouldn't you be in class?" She quickly added.

"I could say the same" he said back "but I'll leave you alone."

"Wait-" she stopped him with his arm "you're Tyler right?" She asked and he was so shocked she knew his name he didn't get to say yes before she finished with "I'm not some crazy weirdo, I wrote your name on your drink the other day." They both laughed

Little did she know he hasn't stopped thinking about her since.

"So what class are you hiding from?" She questioned

"Life skills" he responded

"I wish i could take an extra curricular this year." She sighed

"What class are you missing then?" He asked

"Math, it makes no sense to me." She responded with a defeating tone

A light bulb went off in his head.

"I'm great at math if you want some help" he offered and she giggled.

"I normally would say no, but if i don't pass this time then I'm not gonna graduate." She responded in a joking humor.

"Are you serious." He asked

"Yeah, last year was really rough. I'm just glad to be at a new house." She responded. Before he could ask questions she asked him "Can you meet up tomorrow after school in the library?"

"Uh yeah no i can do that." He stuttered our and she laughed.

"I need to head back to class before the bell rings or I'll lose bathroom privileges." She smiled a pearly white smile at him that could bring him to his knees "see you tomorrow"

He first bumped the air when she was out of sight and ran outside the english room to wait for Cora to exit.

The bell rang and the hallways filled once again.

"You look really excited." She laughed at his big goofy grin.

"I got a date, kind of I-" Cora interrupted him with an excited squeal causing a few head turns.

"I need all the details." she almost yelled in excitement

"Okay okay, come on." He began to explain how they met and their brief conversation in the hallway.

Lydia passed by them and couldn't look Cora in the eyes. How in the hell was she supposed to tell her that Jake is in a gang?
