“Maybe you can already imagine why you’re here.” Bellatrix Lestrange had planted
herself in front of her with a superior smile.
“If not…” She continued decidedly slow. “I’m going to tell you: We know about your
little secret, Sullivan.”
She giggled high-pitched, what made Cecily want to take a step back although she
knew too well that there was a wall behind her. This woman terrified her, but she
tried not to show her that. She didn’t want to grant her that pleasure.
Bellatrix was still grinning.
“Well, so we thought that you would certainly not mind supporting us a little with your endowment, you know, concerning the prophecy.”
Cecily pressed herself against the wall to get as much distance as possible between
her and the deatheaters. She knew exactly what would happen if she refused to help
them and that made her panic slightly. Desperately, she went through all her
possibilities hoping to somehow find a loophole, but too fast she realized that there was none. No matter what she would do, it would always come down to the same
result.
Before her fear could take control of her whole body, she gritted her teeth and faced
Bellatrix. A sentence, that Ginny had once said to her, crossed her mind: ‘I’m starting
to believe that everything is possible, if you just have enough nerve.’
Back then it had been a completely different situation but this statement somehow
gave her back some strength. She took a deep breathe and assertively said: “No! I’m
not going to do that!” The girl was surprised herself about how confident her voice
sounded.
Bellatrix was flustered for a moment but then she came closer looking seriously threatening.
“You think you’re very brave, huh? But I can tell you one thing” Her creepy smirk was
back on her face. “Later you’re going to regret your ‘courage’”
