Government was a drag. Yugi found it hard to stay awake as his teachers monotone voice drawled on about the Gettysburg Address. Groaning he rested his head on the desk and closed his eyes, and Tristan looked down and laughed at him. Yugi peeked at him through one eye, "What you laughing at?" He asked.
"Nothing." Tristan shook his head.
"Liar." Yugi accused, sitting up. "You're laughing about something."
"I just think it's funny about how you show your disgust for a class." Tristan replied.
"Oh." Yugi looked back to the front of the class as the teacher changed out the sheet on the dull projector to show another topographical map of where the battle of Gettysburg took place.
Tristan smiled down at his short buddy. He liked that Yugi had let down his walls a little more today, despite that yesterday he was a little standoffish with everyone he came across. Particularly anyone who took a jab at his sexuality interests, remembering again the time when Yugi clocked Joey after he had made a remark to the young one when he was caught staring at Yami Sennen. Tristan stopped there. Yugi was staring at Yami that day, and he caught Yugi staring at him again today before he entered the doors behind him in class. And how Yugi blushed from embarrassment when he mentioned that everyone saw Yugi dance battle Yami in the court yard this morning. It was totally obvious. Yugi was crushing on Yami. A sly grin crossed Tristan's face as he narrowed his eyes into a teasing glare.
Yugi sensed Tristan's eyes on him, and looked over. Slightly jumping back from the look Tristan was giving him. "What?" He gaped at him.
"Oh nothing." Tristan shrugged non-chalantely, looking to the front of the class.
Yugi glared, "You realize you are terrible at lying right?"
"I know." Tristan said looking sideways at him.
"Tell me!" Yugi said, a little loud.
"Is there something you would like to share with the class Mr. Muto?" His teacher droned as he turned to look at Yugi with his tired eyes.
Cursing under his breathe at Tristan, he turned and smiled slightly at him. "No sir."
"Then please try to keep your comments to yourself." The teacher remarked turning back to the projector.
Yugi turned and glared menacingly at Tristan. "That was your fault." He said motioning with his head to the teacher.
"What did I do?" Tristan looked at him with wide eyes.
"You're the reason why I got worked up. Hiding secrets from me and such." Yugi grumbled.
"I still don't see how it's my fault." Tristan chuckled slightly.
Harrumphing, Yugi folded his arms and rested them on top of his book, in turn resting his chin on top of them. He gave up on trying to drill his friend for answers about what he was hiding from him, for he knew he could get it out of him sooner or later. The class continued on till the bell finally signaled for them to go to lunch and Yugi jumped up and shoved everything back into his bag and waited for Tristan. Finally, both teens were ready and left the classroom behind a group of girls who were gossiping excitedly about something. Listening closer, Yugi was able to catch some of their conversation. "That's right; it's in a couple weeks." One of the teens with bright orange hair that reached her mid-back said.
"I don't have a date do you?" One with shoulder-length blonde hair and glasses asked back.
"No not yet, I hope to be asked soon." Another with long blonde hair replied.
