Did you know that the phrase "be strong and courageous" shows up 10 times in the Bible?  And did you know that the phrase, "do not be afraid" shows up 365 times? That's right! God commands us everyday of the year to NOT be afraid. One of my personally favorite verses that commands us to be strong, and not to be afraid, "So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will never fail nor abandon you." (Deuteronomy 31:6).
As a human's natural instinct is to panic when "the rug has been pulled out from under their feet."  We have been commanded 365 to not be afraid, and 10 times to be courageous. But the one thing that stands out the most: the fact that God will personally go ahead of me. I have always been taught that God is with me through every circumstance.  Having the knowledge that God will personally go ahead of me is unfathomable.  The Creator of the heavens and the earth is personally going ahead of me?!? He's not just watching over us and protecting us, He is PERSONALLY guiding us, by being with us and ahead of us!
As a kid, my mom always told me, "God will not bring you to something he can't carry you through." And y'all, that is so true.  God is in control of EVERYTHING. The little and the big. You know the saying, "everything happens for a reason?" Nothing happens just 'cause... there is a mastermind behind the planning, making everything workout in our favor. "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope." (Jeremiah 29: 11).
God wants us to TRUST him. He wants us to ask for WISDOM. He wants us to have strong FAITH. And most importantly He wants you to take the gift of Salvation that He wrapped up in a bow just for you. And all you gotta do is take it.
You know how whenever you are with a small child, and they want to help you fold laundry of make food? In their eyes, they are helping, but in reality, they are making things take three times longer than is should. Or when you were learning to drive, and you said to your parents walking out the door, "I want to drive!" And they were like, "No. just let me do it, please?" That is how God is with us, except he has more patience with us, and kinda lets us do our thing. He is literally telling you, "Hey. Hey you. Yes you. I got this. I am in control. Trust me!"
