Chapter 13

"Mommy, wake up" I hear Elliot whisper followed by a tap on my shoulder.

"I'm up baby boy" I say and open my eyes. He was right in my face.

"Good. We have a fun day to have today" He says and climbs onto my bed and sits next to me.

"What do you want to do today?" I ask.

"I want to eat breakfast and then go somewhere fun and then babysit Mia and Ella later" He says.

"Did you call your daddy yet and find out if you can?" I ask.

"No. I'll go do it now" He says.

We get out of bed. "I'm going to go start making you breakfast. What do you want?" I ask.

"Chocolate chip pancakes" He says.

"I can do that" I say.

I go downstairs and he goes into his room and gets his iPad then comes down to be with me. He sits at the island on a bar stool while I start making the pancake mix. He calls Bradley.

"Hi buddy" Bradley says when he answers the FaceTime call.

"Hi daddy" Elliot says. "Why are you still in bed?" He asks.

"Because I just woke up" He says.

"Is Ashley there?" Elliot asks.

"She is" Bradley says.

"Hi Eli" She says.

"Hi" He says back.

"What are you doing?" Bradley asks.

"Mommy is making me breakfast" He says. "Mommy say hi" Elliot says and turns the camera to me.

"Hi" I say and wave.

"Hey" Bradley says back.

I look at the iPad for a split second before Elliot turns it back around. Bradley is laying in bed shirtless and the girlfriend is right next to him.

"Can I sleep at mommy's house again tonight? Mia and Ella are coming over and I want to see them" Elliot says kinda fast. He must be nervous to ask. Normally when he asks me to pick him up it's the first thing he says after saying hi. He had a little bit of a conversation with Bradley before asking.

"Yeah I guess so if your mom is ok with it" Bradley says.

"Yeah. It's more than fine with me" I say.

"Good another fun night we can spend together" I hear his girlfriend say and it sounds like she started kissing him. I roll my eyes. She can't wait until my six year old is off FaceTime. I don't need him seeing that.

"Can I go to mommy's work on Tuesday after school for a show they are doing?" He asks.

"Maybe. We will have to see what your school schedule is like" Bradley says. That's a no.

"Ok. Bye daddy. I'll see you tomorrow" Elliot says.

"Bye buddy" Bradley says.

"Bye Eli" She says.

"Bye" Elliot says and hangs up. He jumps down from the bar stool and runs over and hugs me. "We get to have another sleepover" He says.

"I know" I say and hug him back.

"Can I have a chocolate chip?" He asks as he let's go from the hug.

"Sure" I say and hand a couple to him.

"Thank you" He says and eats them. He goes back over to the counter and plays on his iPad for a little bit.

I kept cooking his pancakes. As I was I got a text from Corey.
