Growing Up With Daniel Seavey

Fifth Grade

You and Daniel have become closer as friends and he was your best friend and you were his.
You walked into fifth grade and went into your classroom and saw Daniel there and as he's always done, he saved a seat for you.
Daniel: "Hey y/n, I saved you a seat."
Y/n: "Thanks Dani!"
You also made another friend in third grade and her name was Lily, she walked in and sat beside you.
Y/n: "Hey Lily!"
Lily: "Y/nnn! I missed you bestieee!"
Y/n: "Yeah" she noticed you sitting by Daniel and made and annoyed face
Lily: "Are you and Daniel dating? You guys are so attached, it's weird!"
Y/n: "No. He's my best friend!"
Lily: "Everyone else doesn't think so, but whatever"
You turned your attention back to Daniel and he smiled.
Daniel: "So I was going to tell you that I've been learning to play multiple instruments! I can already play guitar and piano but I thought it'd be fun to learn more."
Y/n: "Wow really?"
Daniel: "Yup! I can't wait to show you. When are you coming over?"
Y/n: "Uhh idk, I'll have to ask my mom but hopefully soon!"
It was lunch time and you and Daniel sat together and people around you were talking about you guys.
Loud Whispers: "Yeah they're like dating." "They're disgusting, why do they always sit together?" "We're not even allowed to date what are they doing?" "Ugh, do they always have to sit together?"
You heard some of the whispers but chose to ignore them then Lily walked over.
Lily: "Hey y/n.. why don't you come sit with us?"
Y/n: "Okay sure! Let's go Daniel"
Lily: "Oh. Just you. Sorry Daniel"
Y/n: "What? Why not? I'll only sit with you if Daniel can come too!"
Lily: "Y/n, people are talking about you! I'm trying to protect you!"
Y/n: "I'm fine!"
Lily: "You are not! You're hanging out with this, this, this LOSER!" She points and Daniel and he turns the other way
Y/n: "Leave Lily"
Lily: "What?"
Y/n: "You heard me"
Lily: "Fine. Be a loser too!"
