Nero

Nero is shoved against a wall his white hair falling to cover his eyes. "Get up now," Nero looks up at the man standing over him "Keep looking in my direction this is what happens gawking at my girl," Nero smiles "Why would I be looking at that train wreck?" Nero stands up brushing his hair out of eyes. The man swings at him, Nero ducks and moves beside the man "Like seriously what do you see in her?" The man punches Nero in the jaw knocking him off balance. "Better learn some manners kid," Nero holds himself up using the wall to help. The man grabs Nero by the neck and hoists him up "Better apologize," Nero shrugs "I didn't want to do this but," He grips the mans arm turning it purple. "What the fuck," He drops Nero gripping his arm blisters starting to form "Frostbite but I don't know to what degree better get to the hospital I don't know how long you'll last," Nero fixes his coat and puts his hands in his pockets and walks off. He pulls a ring from his pocket and smiles "Sell for a nice price."

Nero pushes the door to the pawn shop open "Hey Dave" "Back again kid?" "Yeah got something better thus time" Nero places the ring on the counter. Dave picks it up "Cold to the touch, were you holding it in your hand the whole way here?" "Yeah sorry I didn't put in my pocket" Dave puts on a glove "Its fine" He examines it with a magnifying glass "Ruby isn't fake that's surprising I can give you 400 for it" "Yeah sure" "Sorry I can't give you more but if I do they'll wonder how you got it and I don't think you want the attention" "Its fine better than nothing" Dave hands Nero the money which he slips into his coat pocket "Pleasure as always kid" Nero smiles and walks out the door.

Nero opens his front door and sees a letter on the doorstep. He reaches down and picks it up it doesn't freeze over he drops it in shock. "It didn't...What the fuck?" He grabs it and rips it open pulling the note out. "We would like to invite you to attend the school for the troubled youth we know your situation and aim to help with it. We promise that we can and will do everything to help you better understand yourself if you would like to try our program please come to this address and we shall have someone bring you to the school. We will offer housing there so you don't have to make trips back and forth. We hope you consider our offer seriously and take it." Nero drops it "What the fuck. They know about my power. That's why it didn't freeze over they know. Shit" Nero looks at the address "Not far literally a couple blocks away. Could they really teach me?"
