GUYS I FUCKING SAW AEROSMITH LAST NIGHT! (July 10, 2014 - Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre)

The post-concert depression I'm feeling right now is unlike anything else in the world.

So, the opening act, Slash and Myles Kennedy with the Conspirators, was awesome. They, of course, pulled out some ye-ole GNR - they tore the shit out of Sweet Child O' Mine, and Paradise City (in a good way, of course) and absolutely blew me away with Anastasia

The concert was beyond perfect and Steven was just… Aggghhh. They were all phenomenal and did every song absolutely perfectly - better than they've ever done before! They even did a little snippet of Whole Lotta Love before they went into Eat The Rich, which made me so happy I started to cry.

I especially started to ball like a little baby when they did Cryin' because the harmonica solo is my favorite part ever, and it was just so perfect and amazing and then STEVEN FUCKING THREW THE HARMONICA INTO THE CROWD LIKE IT WAS NOTHING. IF I EVER GOT TO HOLD A FUCKING TISSUE HE USED, NEVERMIND A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, I WOULD JUST DIE ON THE SPOT.

I mean, Joe and Brad absolutely killed it on guitar too. I've never seen someone perform quite as well live as they do on their albums (with the exception of watching Jimmy Page in TSRTS - but that's technically not seeing him 'live') so seeing them absolutely tear it up made me happy beyond words.

Mr. Sweet Emotion himself was adorable and flawless and literally blew me away. I mean, I've seen videos of Sweet Emotion online, but nothing compares to seeing Tom Hamilton shred it up LIVE.

Joey too, he was so fucking adorable and is just amazing. There's only one drummer I'd ever want to see over him and that's John Bonham. He was so funny and perfect and oh my god the entire show was just… ASDFGHJKKL

A two-hour (turned three due to traffic) car ride, a throbbing headache, and a case of laryngitis later, I'm pent up in bed trying desperately to relive the greatest night of my entire existence. It was all so totally worth it. I mean, have any of you been to a concert before? It's just mesmerizing, seeing everyone in their own little euphoria, hypnotically swaying or bouncing to the music, singing along as loud and obnoxious or soft and sweet as they want. It's really just such a beautiful thing. Everyone's there for the exact same reason - to enjoy the masters of music do their thing. It's so fucking beautiful and I'm so grateful to have been apart of it. Really, you meet so many great people when you sit next to total strangers and it makes me so happy to share my love for a band with someone who you don't even know, but will totally understand you and feel you, ya know?

Well… all in all, FUCKING PHENOMENAL SHOW.

I'm literally going to be sitting in bed for the next few days re-watching all the videos I took and just sobbing because I'm not there anymore.

Love you all and thank you for putting up with my ranting and with my delay in posting stories. I'll try to get some chapters of LEB and your requests for the Vault done as soon as possible - I PROMISE!

Love always,
