I walk out of the school gates. I couldn't stop staring at the blank numbers on my arm. My head still wouldn't grasp onto the fact that I had just timed out.

I stuff my hands in my pockets as I make my way home. The sun hitting my face. I look up the street and I spot Carson walking in her own. Her head was down. I place my board on my concrete and I skate toward her.

When I get to her I jump off my board and I pick it back up.

"It's a nice day isn't it?"

"Do we act like nothings wrong?" She asks, stopping in her tracks.

"I saw you time out." I say. "You don't have to tell me."

"You saw it?"

I nod slowly. "I timed out too."

"You did?" She asks.

I nod again. The awkwardness flew in the air.

"He's a lucky guy." I say walking away.

"What?" She questions.

I feel Carson right behind me. She pushed me softly and stood in my way.

"Are you mad?"

I shake my head. "No."

I place my board on the ground. And Carson stares at me intently, but I ignore her stares.

Carson's P.O.V

"I don't know how to feel." Ethan exclaimed with his foot on his board. "I thought that timing out would make me forget everything else."

"Forget everything? Forget what?"

"I was hoping that if I didn't time out on you, I would forget about you." He whispered. "But, I haven't."

With that Ethan skated away down the street. He left me shocked and confused. I continue to walk home, to tell my parents the big news. My mind still on Ethan. I couldn't get him out.
