A few hours into mid afternoon just as John was about to head for lunch.

are you busy? -J

Depends on what you want me to do. -SH

My surgery coat. I left it at the flat, mind bringing it over to St' Barts? -J

Bringing. -SH

Sherlock types that even though he was still at home, coat and watch in his hand while he teleports to appear behind the tree he knew John couldn’t see from.

Thank you. -J

John made his way down to the main entrance and waited for his mate. Sherlock steps out from the shadow without breaking a sweat from walking. "John."

John jolted and then sighed. "i told you not to do that.." he took over the coat. "thank you. i'm having my lunch break, mind joining me?"

"Sorry, not to do what?" he asked, handing the coat over as well as the watch. "I got it fixed. And yes, lunch sounds good."

"Not to scare me like that- my watch? You went to fix it?" he took it over. "I was thinking it was about time to change it but thank you, i get to save some money then." John smile at the taller man.

"Oh, I was just um...enjoying the shade." Not that he was allergic to sunshine, he wasn't a vampire after all, it was just an excuse. "I fixed it actually but you can still get a new one if you want to."

"No,no. thank you." He wore his the watch then pat his chest then pockets in search of his wallet. "Bloody hell...I left my wallet upstairs, mind if i go get it?"

"I'll pay for you so you don't have to take your wallet." Sherlock says, tugging John along to the foodcourt. "I hope you don't forget about your instruments and leave them inside your patients."

"Not funny,Sherlock." he rolled his eyes at the sarcasm and walk with the man. "This is the fifteenth time you've paid for my meal. i feel bad.." John sighed,he kept count when it comes to money sense.

"Of course it isn't funny, I'm just reminding you. And you don't have to keep count John, we're more than friends." And damn it, they were more than friends yet there was a huge secret between them.

"Well.." he blushed slightly. "I suppose so.." he briefly look at the other than back down at the ground. "Have you been by the butchers? You smell like raw meat." John chuckled, picking up the smell.

"Do I?" Sherlock sniffed and rolled his eyes, must have been earlier in the day where he had his hellhound kill the human for their soul. The contract had been up. "I was walking by the wet market, thought you might like a restock on meat but couldn't find any nice ones."

"ah,i see." The doctor nodded, finding a seat and settling down. "What do you want to eat?"

"Um just fries would do. I'm not very hungry," Well of course Sherlock wasn't...besides the fact that he wasn't human, he just had a soul.

"Mhh..okay." The doctor nodded and looked around. "Hm..pasta sounds good." His stomach growled as if agreeing. "..i haven't had anything for the whole morning." His cheeks dusted pink.

"You always do that, told you to eat before you go." Sherlock says, raising his hand to ask for the waiter when his phone beeped again.

You're stalling Sherlock. -MH

How do you expect I tell him?! How did you tell Goldfish? -SH

"I can't help that i always have to rush in the morning." John sighed then arching his brow at the beep. "Your brother?" He asks curiously.

The demon looks up at John and nods, "He is being as annoying as ever." They ordered their food and waited for it to arrive.

The blonde human chuckled and gave a smile. "You're pretty stubborn when it comes to your brother, like a kid."

"I'm not a kid, I'm a hun..." The demon paused, almost saying a hundred years old, "Thirty!"

John thought he heard something but shrugged it of then chuckled. "clearly a five year old."

"Am not." Sherlock frowns, poking his french fries which just arrived. "Want some?"

"No thank you." John declined then frowned. "Wait,I thought you were allergic to sodium? why did you order that? it's high in sodium." The doctor frowned.

"Oh um...I told them no salt actually," he lies, no salt line on the floor that is. "Maybe they forgot?"

The doctor took a piece and tried, giving a cringe at the saltiness. "You shouldn't eat that, way too salty. You should order something vegetarian instead." John suggested.

Sherlock shook his head, no vegetables, that's worse than eating meat. "I'll ask them for another plate without salt."

"Okay then." The doctor raise his hand to call the waiter over. John then continued his meal hungrily.

Mentally, Sherlock made the waiter come back with a plate of half salted, half unsalted fries so in case John wanted to eat again, he would take the unsalted one. "You're weird.." John glance up at the other.

"Since when am I not?" Sherlock questions back, trying to remain calm and cool under his facade. "True." John agreed with a chuckled.
