1975
Snape's POV:
He could barely breathe but he kept running. Why were there so many stairs at Hogwarts?! He thought as he struggled to not knock anyone over. Finally!! He rushed to a portrait of a very fat woman who turned to him in disgust.
"Ugh! YOU again?!" She exclaimed. He just blushed with an awkward frown.
"Nothing's changed since the last time you barged up here! She DOESN'T want to speak with you!"
He sighed. "I know... If only she would listen so I could apologize! She won't even look at me half the time!"
The Fat Lady gave an uncommon look of empathy. "Look dearie, maybe you should go talk it through with a friend. Practically attacking the girl with apologies isn't helping."
He gave an awkward look but nodded and left.
--------------------------------He arrived at his common room to find Sophie waiting for him.
"Any luck?" She asked.
"No." He replied. When the Fat Lady told him to talk to a friend about his situation he felt awkward. His only other real friend was Sophie but he didn't like talking about Lily with her. Everyone thought he fancied Lily, which he had at one point, but he got over it. It was just a silly crush he had when he was little. He had secretly had feelings for Sophie since second year but he didn't dare admit it to her. She, along with everyone else, thought he fancied Lily and it was near impossible Sophie liked him back. He was tired of these stupid emotions and wished he could just turn off his brain for a while.
"Who needs her? You've got me!" She said jokingly. He smiled. She always had a way to make him forget all the crap that the world decided to throw at him.
"That's true. You want to do something?"
"Uh, actually I wanted to tell you something."
"Okay... what is it?"
"I know you can be pretty oblivious a lot of the time but by 'You've got me' I meant Lily isn't the only girl in school. I mean... never mind." She frowned.
"I'm aware there are other girls. I'm also aware that you think I fancy Lily but I've had my eyes set on someone else." She blushed at his reply.
"Really? Who?"
"Looks like I'm not the only oblivious one." He smirked. He still wasn't sure she got the idea though.
Sophie's POV:
She couldn't believe what he had just said. She'd fancied him for a while, longer than she was willing to admit, but she never thought he could like her back, what with all his talk about Lily. She blushed harder.
"Well maybe I just need the truth plain and clear." She teased.
"Okay. I fancy Sophie Baker. Clear enough for you?"
"I don't know if it's as plain as, 'I have romantic feelings for Severus Snape, even though he can be an idiot,' but it's good enough." He blushed as red as a sunset at her admitted feelings.
"So... What now?"
"I don't know, Sev. Maybe we should go jump in the lake!" She replied sarcastically.
"I'll do it if you do." He challenged.
"Oh, you're on!" She accepted.
"Last one there's a petrified puffskein!" He childishly called.
"Nice one!"
"Thanks!"

FanfictionA fan fiction for Sophie AKA The Bakeey and Snape. Takes place in 1975 in their fourth year. ( Sophie was born in 1960 for this fanfic) I know this sucks but it's the best I could do for one chapter with my writing skills(or lack thereof)!
