She couldn't decide which to choose, on one hand she felt way more comfortable using the girls bathroom but there was always people inside of the bathroom. More importantly very judgy girls who looked at her weirdly every time she walked into the bathroom. She even heard the whispers as she walked in the hallways and the disgusted looks that were sent her way. Making a split decision, one that she probably should have thought through way more than a few seconds, she pushes her way into the bathroom marked with a man. The first thing her dark eyes noticed were the urinals, that may have looked clean on the outside but inside held all sorts of gross things, lined up on the wall to her left, unoccupied. Then the pristine, white sinks that seemed to be the cleanest object in this bathroom because the floor was covered in dirt, something that look suspiciously like blood and when she move her sneaker clad foot, it made a loud noise detaching itself from the floor. If, she didn't know better she would think that there was gum stuck to the bottom but there wasn't any in sight.
Moving to the first open stall, she was just about to step inside when the bathrooms main door swung open and slammed against the light blue walls. Glancing behind her she saw the menacing, cat-like eyes of Warren Hills. Warren wasn't a very nice kid and he bullied almost everyone, even his own friends weren't safe from the onslaught of hurtful words he mutters.
Warrens nose scrunch up in distast at the sight of her, "look what we have here boys," he replied flatly, eyes darkening in anger as he continues to stare at her, " It's the faggot. What was your name again little BOY?"
Turning stiffly towards Warren, the girls heart pounds loudly in her chest. This definitely was the worst idea ever she thinks to herself as her brown eyes meet Warren's forest green ones.
"It's Jesse," she says quietly, hoping to get out of this bathroom soon, she didn't even have to go anymore. Warren takes a step closer to Jesse and his followers naturally follow suit, "Um, I need to go home now."
"Well, why don't you hang with us. Right boys?," he inquires, stepping a bit closer so he was only a centimeter away from Jesse. Warren straightens out his back, standing taller then before, towering over Jesse and intimidating the girl further, "You don't have anything better to do."
Taking a chance, Jesse glares at Warren fiercely and grounds out through clenched teeth, "I do have something better to do and it has nothing to do with you," then she tried to move around the group of three. It didn't work out in her favor though because as soon as she made it around, Warren and his friends blocked the exit. They were much taller and way stronger then Jesse and she knew it, this was such a bad idea."I don't think he understands," Warrens voice turns cold as ice and his hands ball into tight fists as he slowly turns to face Jesse, " You have no choice but to hang with us."
She was surrounded now, her mind jumbled with possible outcomes of this situation. Surely he wouldn't do anything horrible in the school bathroom, right? she thought looking for any exit or even a hiding place that would keep her safe long enough to come up with a plan. This was a bad day to get my phone taken. She cursed herself for using it during class, but she had only taken it out to text her mom to not forget her medication today.
A sudden sharp pain in her cheek made her mind jump back to reality, she was on the ground now with a pounding cheek and something wet sliding down from her nose. When she lifted her hand and gingerly tap the wetness, she could tell it was blood, her blood. Touch her cheek she winced at the pain then looked up at Warren, who stood smugly with his fists clenched right while his friends stayed stoic by the door.
Tears start to stream down her face, "Why... Did you just...," she couldn't even for a coherent sentence as her mind screamed at her to run but her body sat motionless on the floor, the fear slowly grabbing hold of her and it would never let go.
"I think he still doesn't understand, that HE doesn't belong here. That he is a worthless waste of space and an abomination," Warren growls, face scrunch in anger and his eyebrows furrowed in concentration, "I think we should teach him, show him where he really stands in this world."
With those words Warren's foot lifts in the air and right as he slams it forward Jesse curls into a ball covering her head with her hands. It didn't protect her from the intense, stabbing pain she felt in her arms where his foot hit but it did protect him from doing real damage to her body. Warren brought his foot down again, and again and again until he got bored of just hitting Jesse with his feet. He snapped his fingers and his followers grabbed each of Jesse's arms pulling her until she was standing on her feet, her eyes widen as she struggles to get her arms for from their strong grip and it didn't help that every time she moved her arms the pain intensified.
"Look I'll make it easy for you Jesse," Warren says with fake sympathy coating his voice, " All you gotta do is say this one sentence and it'll all be over"
Jesse looks at him uncertain if he was telling the truth or lying but she wanted so bad to just go home now, her body screamed in pain and her head pounded with an oncoming headache that would probably last for days and she was tired... tired of the pain, "Ok."
"Good, now repeat after me," Warren's face stretches into a smirk as he saw the helpless Jesse standing there, he knew that he had won, " You are an Abomination."
Jesse's face instantly turns pale as the words sunk into his brain, " What?"
"You're a boy," Warren continues slowly, as if speaking to a child, "not a girl."
Jesse's eyes fill with tears again and they spill down her cheeks, "No... No I'm not going to say that" she shouts, the anger and sadness clear in her voice, " You...you..can't make me say that. I AM A GIRL."
"NO YOU'RE NOT," Warrens face turns bright red and his saliva flies onto Jesse's cheek, He's had enough foolishness from Jesse so his fist came fast and hard onto Jesse's stomach. Jesse coughs violently as his body shakes and his legs give out, she was held up Warren's followers as he punched her again, this time her cheek was hit. The metallic taste of blood filled her mouth and the once dried blood under her nose was covered with more blood. Why did I come in here, I should have just went home she thought as Warrens fists continued their abuse as Jesse closes her eyes and slumps down, letting the followers carry all of her weight for her. I deserve this......I'm an a-Abomination......I'm... I'm a b-Boy?
