SILENCE
Its dark out and all's quiet
The soldiers are walking the camps
I can hear their feet on the gravel
Most are trying to cry themselves to sleep
I can hear quivering breaths near by
Dawn must be coming soon
People are starting to stir
Soldiers are standing at doorways
We sit and wait for them to call our number
But pray they don't
I'm waiting
They've call the first 2 numbers on my arm
Please don't call the next 3
They miss me by 1 number
The ones that got called get in formation and start walking
Parent are crying, kids are asking what's happening
I'm crying knowing their fate
I hear the slam of a steel door
Something must have happened
I hear screaming than
But slowly the noise dies
Its Silent
