These Days ~ The Foo Fighters

-

Of course, Michael didn't like what he heard. But he was also concerned about what Ashton might do.

I explained what happened, and I guess he said he understood. Which, I figured he did. But I think he was just a slight bit annoyed with Ashton.

"Rachel! Rachel!" Hazel walked inside my house all of a sudden, which made me jump.

"What what is there a fire what?" I asked, getting up from my table.

"No, I heard what happened. And Ashton's at home crying, with Foo Fighters or something like that on. Luke's on his way over to his place."

"He was supposed to like 2 hours ago, after Calum. Because Calum called me and said he didn't want him to talk to and wanted to be alone," I sighed. "What is wrong with me..." I muttered.

"Rachel." Haze looked at me. "You have to do something."

"I have to do something!? I'm the cause of this, he broke down to me-"

She cut me off, "He broke down to you. That means he-"

"No, the cause of it was because he was telling me about how he couldn't find anyone that he thought was a match of my personality. I doubt me talking to him would help." I sighed.

"You have to," she said, getting up.

My phone rang [Luke] I answered it.

"Rachel, you're coming with me over here. I'm leaving right now. I'll be there in 10 minutes. No backing out." He said, then hung up.

"I'm sorry. I'm going. You go home, I'll text you later," I told Hazel, as she gathered her items and went to her car.

I just want him to be happy. He doesn't deserve to be sad.

Luke got to my house in 10 minutes just like he said. I grabbed my phone and wallet, then went out inside his car. He parked on the curb outside Ashton's small house.

I unbuckled my seatbelt, grabbing my phone. I gave Luke a look, he was just sitting there.

"I'm staying out here." Luke said.

"What if I need you though?"

"You can do this on your own. I know you can. Also, the door is open."

I got out of the car and walked up to the door. I could faintly hear the lyrics to one of my favorite Foo Fighters songs, Easy for you to say. Your heart has never been broken, Your pride has never been stolen, not yet, not yet.

I slowly twisted the knob and went inside. Um, where's his room? I'd only ever been here once for like two minutes.

I went in the direction I heard the music coming from, which was a room next to his bedroom. It had a stereo, disks and dvds, a desk with a laptop on it, and a missing Ashton.

"Ashton?" I called.

"What?" He sniffled, walking in the room.

I went over to the stereo and turned it down a little louder than resturaunt volume.

"Yes?" he asked again, walking towards me.

I turned around and looked him over. He'd been crying on and off it looked like. "You need to take a breather." I turned off the music.

He took a big breath. "There." He smartass grinned.

"Ha ha," I smirked. "That's not what I meant."
