My Best Friend's Brother ♡

: WHAT?! (Please read.)

I'd taken in a deep breathe. My legs quivered.
Logan must have not heard what I said.
"Brianna, think about this. Think about what your doing.."
"How could I be so studip.." I murmured. Logan didn't love me.

"Logan, do something!" Alexis yelled at him. "You two were meant to be."
"She won't leave me." I heard Logan say, in a dark and plain tone.

"Huh?"

"She won't leave me, I said." Logan had said calmly. "I'm everything to her. She can't just drop all this off for one minor thing." I turn around, with a lifted eye brow. "Excuse me?"

"Come on, Alexis. You love me." Logan walked over to me, and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm you're world. Everything you do revolves around me. I knew from the first day you saw me that you fell head over heels for me. I had you. And I can tell by your expession that you won't let it - let me - go that easily."

My eyes grew wide. He may have been right, but I wasn't going to sink into it. "Get off me!" I yell. "No it doesn't! Shut up!" I yell, and back up away from him.
Logan just chuckled, and shook his head. "Stop pretending, Brianna. I'm like a God to you. I saved your life, I protected you, I provided... what more is there?"

I can't believe he was saying this. He was trying to trick me in some wierd and twisted way. He won't be pulling me into this tonight.
"Stop it. Shut it up, Logan. I swear I will-"
"You will what? Leave? You don't have enough guts to." He said calmly. His tone was so... calm now... it scared me.
"I will." I say, looking him dead in the eyes. "I will leave and never come back."
"I dare you too." He said, nonchalantly tucking his hands in his pockets. "Go ahead. Do it."

"Logan!" Alexis yelled.

"Hush, Alexis. this is a barrito and taco conversation. Nochos."

"Logan..."  I murmured. "Stop saying this..."

Logan shook his head. "You want to leave, right? Go ahead. Leave out that door."

Ring ! Ring ! Ring !

The sound of a small phone filled the silent room. Logan reached into his pant's pocket and took out a small cellular phone. He put it to his ear, and bit his lower lip. "Yeah, hello?"

A small fuzzy voice talked to him through the phone. "Hello? What?" He suddenly said. "What? Are you serious?" Logan's expression looked disgusted, and hurt. "Oh my God."

No I was scared. I still idle on the other side of the living room.

"What is it, Logan? What's wrong?"

Logan gestured Alexis to be quiet. His mouth dropped as the voice went on. "Okay. Okay, thank you Officer Tucker. We're on our way right now."

"What? Who? Officer Tucker? Who's that?!" Alexis started to panic.

Logan hung up, with a horrible... back tingling look on his face. "Our mother was just murdered."

Oh my God.

Alexis dropped the few things in her hand, and stiffened. "What?" She asked, so confused.
"What do you mean, murdered? What does that even mean?"

"Our father." Logan said. "We need to go."

"No, no, no," Alexis shook her head. "I'm not leaving until I know for sure you're joking. Stop joking, LOGAN!" Alexis screamed at him. "STOP IT!"

Logan shook his head, in total and utter disgust. "Al-Alexis, I'm not joking with you."

Alexis couldn't take it. She was frozen.

"We need to go home now. They found her body there."

Mr. Lucas opened the door. "Logan, take your sister home to see what's going on."

"No, YOUR NOT SERIOUS! WHAT KIND OF SICK JOKE IS THIS, LO?!" Alexis screamed, with bare tears running down her cheeks. "STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!"

Logan walked up to his sister, and took her hand. "Alexis, if I was kiding with you right now... I'd be damned." He said softly. "We need to go right now to see what the hell his going on."

Alexis couldn't take it. She went wild. No one could control her. I can't believe there mother was just murdered.

"What time did she get murdered? How?"
"I don't konw... I really don't..." Logan said, pacing back and forth. "I feel sick. I can't do this."

Mr. Lucas lead us out the door, where Logan and Alexis broke off to the other side of the lot. They rushed, and couldn't look anyone in the eyes. Tears welled up into my eyes. There own mother? How could this happen? Who would do such a thing? Didn't she just come home from work?

I didn't know, but something was wrong, and our story isn't cleared up just yet... this isn't the end - It can't be... this must be the beginning... So much was left unsaid... so many things left undone. I stood at the door and held my breath as Logan and Alexis rushed out the drive way, and scraped the conrete against the tires. Mr. Lucas held me close, and never let me go. I felt too sick. This was too unreal.
